Two Stupid Patents

First, the USPTO morons granted this gem:

Apple Wins Patent For "iWallet" (ITB, Dave Smith)

then, to compound their stupidity, then squeeze this little nugget out:

Amazon Patents Annotating Books, Digital Works (USPTO website)

They just trying to make it so the little guy gets no chance at all in the market place.

It stinks.

There is a long history of patents being issued which should never have been.

google: XOR cursor mouse patent
for an example of a stupid and inappropriate patent award.

I suspect it has to do with those in the patent office charged with evaluating patent applications being behind the ball on technology.

Silly patents to individuals I don't have much of a problem with at all.

Patents that destroy lives (example: the intermittent wiper designer) infuriate me.

Falsehoods unchallenged only fester and grow.
