They've got quotes from various former SEALS, although only one ever appears to have been associated with Team 6, and none involved in the mission. Basically, it's just a bunch of people saying "stop taking a victory lap" and "you weren't the one getting shot at", coupled to the suggestion that if enough SEALs say that it'll give the Republicans more cover to say it, and maybe cause a backlash where people get mad at the President for taking too much credit.

Personally, I don't think the Republicans want to go there. The more time they spend bitching about Obama taking credit for killing OBL, the more they'll remind people that, well, Obama gave the order to kill OBL.

Yeah. if it had been Bush, though...we wouldn't be having his conversation. They'd be clamoring for a third term for their Messiah.

If one little thing had gone wrong, President Obama would have gotten all of the blame.

I had to spew my coffee this afternoon when I heard that Gulianni said at the Romney thing today that he wishes Obama would stop talking about OBL so much - THIS from Mr. 911 himself. Irony meter factories imploded worldwide as a result.
