According to San Diego Police, Michael John Kobulnicky, 50, who has been a leader in the San Diego Tea Party, has been arrested Thursday (3/15) after allegedly kidnapping and then raping a woman on Fiesta Island on February 25th. Kobulnicky is also the former regional director of the Southern California Conservative Party.

The Tea Party leader allegedly, “dragged her out of the car and sexually assaulted her pretty brutally,” said San Diego Police Lt. Andra Brown. Kobulnicky supposedly offered to give the woman, walking along Linda Vista Road, a ride to her home, however he instead allegedly drove her to Fiesta Island and then raped the 56-year-old, according to San Diego police.

On Kobulnicky’s website , the father of five and man of supposed “Christian values” lists that he has held a number of teaching positions, and is “currently the Co-Organizer and Public Relations Representative for the San Diego Tea Party.” Kobulnicky has scheduled a “Patriot Voices Summit” for July 2012 (a specific day TBA).

Michael Kobulnicky remains in the San Diego County jail and is set to be arraigned next week. He was arrested at his home in Lemon Grove, CA. He has been booked on a number of felony charges, including kidnapping, sexual assault and sex with a foreign object.

If she's telling the truth, he didn't have sex with her at all. He's the wrong man.

If he's telling the truth, the sex was consensual. She was a willing participant.

If he was falsely accused, he has my sympathy. The whole situation is messy and bad.

The FUNNY thing, and yes, there's a funny thing, is that for a while RWNJs were shouting that he wasn't a Tea Party leader -- "Stop calling him that, liberals!" and now they're back to being fine with calling him a Tea Party guy.

Ah, it's clear now - just another case of Schrodinger logic, common in birtherstan.

He didn't have sex and it was consensual == the forged birth certificate proves he doesn't have two citizen parents.
He was a tea party leader and he wasn't == the postman says he was from Kenya ... he was from Indonesia.

Both could be true if around the same time the rape victim was picked up by someone on Linda Vista Ave and driven to Fiesta Island and raped, dude picked up another woman on the same street, drove her to the same place on Fiesta Island and had consensual sex with her. Could have happened. $\:D/$
