I thoroughly enjoyed this little exchange between a Washington Times reporter and Jerry Brown.

LATimes:

It's not very long. Just a short transcript of the exchange.

And the candidate for which quirky Connecticut voted in the Democratic Primary in 1992, narrowly besting Clinton.

Mine, too. California has to overcome the mismanagement by the Governator and his cronies. Jerry has been diligently working at it just lke he did before but with a lot more experience. He is not trying to curry favor with any group nor looking to higher office. He is the kind of public servant we need.

Mine, three.

I think Jerry's doing a fine job, though, like Obama, I think he's not liberal enough. Some of his cuts to social programs have been especially painful, but cuts must indeed be made.

Unlike so many "fiscally conservative" Republicans, Democrats understand you need to take in more than you spend.

Oh, and Jerry's got a pretty adorable dog, too. :xo

Wow. So that is what it is like to have an articulate governor.
