You folks are making me rethink Amazon Prime. I didn't know you could add family members.
Family members are a major reason we have it. Over the whole family, we are ordering a ton of stuff. Plus, it's all two-day and often we get things overnight because they are being drop-shipped from warehouses nearby anyway. Amazon has started doing used books and CD's too so about half the time I will find a used book is available with "fulfillment by Amazon" with the free two-day into the bargin.
I am a sucker when it comes to books. Thank doG they aren't harmful (except if you are a birther) like heroin because I'd be long dead by now. Some people tithe, I donate the money instead to my "church" more commonly known as a bookstore. Amazon is evil because it leads me to the paths of temptation. They are especially evil when they allow places like Goodwill or Salvation Army to use their site to sell the used books they get in donations. I feel compelled to buy from these folks -- even if I don't need the book -- because I want to do my part to help those who help others. Over the holidays, Amazon forced me, I say forced me, to buy all kinds of old-time TV shows DVD sets by marking down the price to a level they, KNEW, I say KNEW would tempt me. Now I'm surrounded with the the empty boxes that brought temptation right to my doorstep. I am forced to decide which DVD to watch first -- the DVD with the very first Doctor Who episode, or maybe the DVD with Ward Bond as the leader of the "Wagon Train." Maybe I should turn instead to the 80% off specially priced DVD sets of my favorite movie stars, Errol Flynn, Bette Davis... Yes. I must admit that I am powerless over the temptation that Amazon is to me. But on the bright side, reading all those books or watching the DVDs does keep me off the streets making my town just a little bit safer.
