In a previous life I was heavily involved with folks who are obsessive about software reliability and cybersecurity. One of the interesting things I learned is that the biggest threat to the internet isn't malware, it's a strategically deployed backhoe.

Speaking of posses:

Quote:
Federal Judge David O. Carter Orders Posse to Find Fugitive Brad Keith Lee
By R. Scott Moxley Wed., Mar. 7 2012 at 12:14 PM

David O. Carter is undoubtedly Orange County's most colorful federal judge.
...
If your name is Brad Keith Lee and you're reading this story, several hefty drops of sweat should have just appeared on your forehead because Carter believes you've dissed him and he'd like to see you in his courtroom in handcuffs and surrounded by snarling U.S. Marshals.
...
Carter ordered Lee to pay $1 million in restitution, serve 24 months in prison and then undergo three years of supervised federal probation.

The felon got out of prison and now can't be found.

"I think he's in the wind," Carter said to two U.S. Department of Justice prosecutors.

The judge then looked at a middle-aged man wearing a suit and sitting in the audience. He stared at the man, apparently a federal agent, and squinted his eyes.

"Find him," Carter said.

"Yes, sir," the man replied quickly.
...
"Bring him back to me."
...

Along with the uniquely placed deep trawler and the ever persistent ship's anchor (which IRR cut the Mid East traffic down quite a bit). :-

Soros' awesome power finally explained: he has the Spear of Destiny!
Quote:
The Spear of Destiny was the actual spear used by the Centurion named Longinus. It is thusly considered the spear that killed Jesus or God's Son.
...
Constantine himself was once owner of this sacred relic. Yes, the same man responsible for today's KJV Bible owned the spear that killed God's Son. [Note: If only Chaucer had bothered to read the KJV, undergraduates would have been spared years of Middle English.]
...
Hitler invaded Austria in WW2 to get this spear so he could control the world through the 3rd Reich.
...
...a young apprentice of Himmler named Soros stole the great Spear of Destiny and kept it a secret. He later realized what he had stolen and decided to use it's power to reinvent the 4th Reich in his NWO.

Amazing -- and here all this time I thought that James I was responsible for the KJV.

I gotta say I'm pleased with the quality of our most recent crop of newbies.

That won't get any of them out of the hazing, but still, I'll respect them while... well, I won't say any more.

News coming out of Crufts (UK dog show) is that the KC's new health certification requirements have disqualified the Peke (who just happens to be out of the same kennel as the larva that won Westminster) PalaceGarden Bianca from best of breed
Quote:
having been found to exhibit “visible signs of problems due to conditions that affect their health or welfare.”
The bulldog BoB "winner" was also disqualified.

Y'all know I'm opposed to nearly all of the AR stuff that is aimed at breeders and owners, but this is at the kennel club level and is really good news (in my opinion) for those of us concerned with the breeding for extreme characteristics that we've seen lately. My genetics lists are cheering tonight :) Some breed lists are NOT cheering and it's a big hooraw.

This is a place where legislative solutions are not very workable, but club-down policies seem to have a great impact.

That is all.

James is responsible for the writers (translators), but Constantine chose the chapters (Books).

So the original writer is saying that the KJV came before Chaucer? With a straight face? Or was that Tollie's edit? I iz cornfuzzled.

Given the haphazard way the book was assembled, trying to figure out who approved what when and what got left out and why is mind numbing.

Whenever I insert comments into a text, I put them in square brackets. It was my snarky comment.

Back to tornadoes for a second. A family had seven surveillance cameras running while the tornado hit West Liberty, KY. Why they needed seven cameras is not stated, but the result is that they captured the tornado from different angles as they recorded inside the tornado. The occupants of the house were in the basement, where they report that the ground was shaking. In one angle, the family's workshop is rotated almost 90 degrees before it is destroyed. There is much flying debris. Some viewers have identified strange lights, which may be photographic anomalies or simply debris.
