I would like to think that, wherever he is, he's being treated better than he treated others while he was alive.

I would like to think that. Unfortunately, I'm not that nice. So, I really hope he's being treated exactly like he treated others while he was alive.

Oh, and he was only 43?! It really is true that hate ages you...

Recently, he came out of the CPAC meeting to scream at some Occupy protestors. He was apoplectic. All I could think of was that he was a candidate for an aneurysm. He looked ready to blow a blood vessel. Other than that, Stern said it well.

Breitbart was walking near his house in the Brentwood neighborhood shortly after midnight Thursday when he collapsed, his father-in-law, Orson Bean, said.

Someone saw him fall and called paramedics, who tried to revive him. They rushed him to the emergency room at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, Bean said.

Breitbart had suffered heart problems a year earlier, but Bean said he could not pinpoint what happened.

Bummer for his family.

But I agree with :geezer:, our RWNJ-infected world is a better place without this, well, symptom.

HuffPo says he was out walking near his house and collapsed. They tried to get him to the hospital...

Not this time.

I wonder if it was painful.

Orson Bean was his father in law? That's an odd combination.

I'm not glad he's dead but I'm not sad either. I just hope he suffered a bit.

He was a bad guy -- even a Bad Guy.

I'll give him what I give bad guys: I imagine them the day they were born, with all the potential to do good and decent things. I mourn for that baby. I sincerely do.

And I do offer my (also) sincere condolences to his children (four? not sure how many, that's what I read somewhere), who are certainly shocked and sad this morning. I hope the children find comfort in the days to come.

For a different liberal take:

Quote:
From our pre-HuffPo, pre-Big Hollywood conversations, I learned some things about Andrew. He was adopted, which is why he was anti-abortion. He told me that his birth mom was kind of hippie, and he had been liberal himself, but after spending time with his father-in-law Orson Bean, his politics shifted.

Andrew was an instigator, a rabblerouser and while our politics so did not line up, he became an unlikely ally of the LGBT community last year when told a CPAC audience

(Snip)

No word yet if the Mormons plan to baptize Andrew.

I think everyone else has summed up my feelings about Breitbart.

But I do feel for his four children because at their age all they know is their father is their father. And that's all that really matters.

In related news James O'Queef is suing Olbermann, Shuster and Current media for defamation. This should be rich.

Looks like Alex Wagner and Andrea Mitchell have both covered this on-air.

Hey, I have a lot Christian compassion now, but most of it is related to Davy Jones.

Breitbart - all I can say is what I said when I heard Franco was dead. "¡Viva la Muerte!" (nothing to do with the film of that name)

I find it is a relief not to believe in either a heaven or a hell. Or even reincarnation. That way I don't have to figure out how some deity is going to rule on this wasted life. He was a bad man who did evil things. His hatred probably contributed to his death. That is punishment enough for me.

Shirley Sherrod's statement:

Some of the freepers seem to have a different possible culprit: Bill Ayers, who supposedly prepared and served a meal to Breitbart and Tucker Carlson a few weeks ago.

(Of course, Ayers is in Obama's pocket... wait, no, Obama is in HIS pocket... crap, which is it? I guess maybe Obama is to blame anyway.)

E.g. Moral Low Ground has collected some wild claims. They also have the infamous CPAC video.

I agree with the conclusion:
Quote:
Breitbart incessantly waged war upon the forces of justice and equality, including the Occupy Wall Street movement, whose members he called “rapists,” “murderers” and “freaks and animals.”

But this man seething with hatred was also a husband and father of four young children.

Time to let sleeping dogs lie.

Crap, I navigated away and now have to run. It was the thread on the LA coroner looking into it, I'm pretty sure. Sorry, will find it when I get back to this computer in a bit!

May his reward in death suit his deeds in life.

My sympathies to his family.
