Steve King is going birther as well

Apparently he has this theory that Obama's parents telegramed the birth announcements to the newspapers from Kenya.

KING: When the legislation that passed in the farm bill that says that it’s a federal crime to watch animals fight or to induce someone else to watch an animal fight but it’s not a federal crime to induce somebody to watch people fighting, there’s something wrong with the priorities of people that think like that.

His thought process is breathtaking. I guess it never occurred to the Gentleman from Iowa that people who (stupidly) choose to fight professionally (wherein the goal is to physically injure your opponent) is different than animals being forced to fight against their will.

Kiing is right up there at the top of the GOP crazy list, totally certifiable. A male Bachmann.

So, what is his point? We shouldn't have boxing? Is he offended with Olympic boxing? How does he square this?

His point is on top of his head.

This doesn't happen to be near the birfplace of Ms. Bachmann does it? I mean that would go a long way to explaining both of their shortcomings.

Back to his other statement

Quote:
“We went down into the Library of Congress and we found a microfiche there of two newspapers in Hawaii each of which had published the birth of Barack Obama. It would have been awfully hard to fraudulently file the birth notice of Barack Obama being born in Hawaii and get that into our public libraries and that microfiche they keep of all the newspapers published. That doesn’t mean there aren’t some other explanations on how they might’ve announced that by telegram from Kenya. The list goes on. But drilling into that now, even if we could get a definitive answer and even if it turned out that Barack Obama was conclusively not born in America, I don’t think we could get that case sold between now and November.”

Even if we ignore the telegram stupidity, there is so much here that is so disturbing.

Note the use of the collective pronoun, "we." who is "we?" Did King just admit that members of congress had their staff look into these absurd claims?

Then there is the whole issue of him speculating on how this issue could be used to attack the president.

This guy is a total douch nozzle.

There are about a dozen or so house members I could name that are just as seriously loony as King and Bachmann. Louie Gomert comes to mind as does Kelly from PA who yesterday declared the day one to live in infamy along with Pearl Harbor and 9/11 because the new health care provisions went into effect. He proclaimed it be the death religious freedom in this country. He was followed by group of GOP House members making similar outrageous claims.

We the People have really screwed Ourselves.

Oh, and he's going to sue Obama, and we all know how well that works for his ilk:

Quote:
Congressman planning to sue president

A conservative congressman says August could be the month he sues the Obama administration over an unlawful amnesty order issued by the president.

Yep, nothing like an idiot from one branch (Congress) trying to get another branch (Judicial) to deal with the Executive Branch.

I wonder if the Congressman is going to call Orly to get the benefit of her years of experience with EPIC FAIL.

Didn't he read the rules before he opened his big fat mouth???
