I just loaded 100 tubes with powder. I already have 200 525 grain bullets and a .58 cal musket. Does this mean I have a cache? ;)

Living in a bluer than blue state, I'm not that up on firearms. But I'm guessing muskets aren't the arms of choice for your basic 21st century weapons cache. Probably counts as more of a "collection."

My state is probably just a tad bit lighter blue than your state. But wahhh! I want to have a cache! I can shoot almost a round and a half a minute. It's a genuine reproduction from an Italian company that just recently went out of business. It has to be legit. :|

'Sovereign Citizen' Thrown Out Of Pizza Chain Bankruptcy Hearings
Jillian Rayfield | June 29, 2011, 2:12PM

The bankruptcy hearings of the Giordano's Pizza chain in Chicago took a strange turn this week, when a sovereign citizen was thrown out of the courtroom after he made vague threats and caused what the judge called a "sideshow."

Marshall Home, a sovereign citizen from Arizona, had intervened in the case by filing a claim to a $150 million lien against Giordiano's, which Philip Martino, the pizza chain's trustee, says is fraudulent.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Pamela Hollis tossed Home from the hearings after he popped in to testify Tuesday.

After Home continued interrupting Judge Hollis, he was escorted out by three security officers.

The pizza owner believed him. That's the thing.

Quote:
The case centers around Giordano's owner John Apostolou, who was forced to give up his control of the pizza chain, which he's owned since 1988, after his businesses fell into $45.5 million worth of debt. The chain has been under bankruptcy protection since February, but Apostolou only lost control after he submitted some court filings in the style of the sovereign citizen movement. One filing declared that Apostolous and his wife are "American Freemen, free inhabitants of the Illinois state, and we find it impossible to obtain State declared Legal Tender at Law." They also said they don't believe in U.S. currency or the legal system, typical beliefs of sovereign citizens, who generally consider almost all branches of the U.S. government to be illegitimate.

The Department of Justice asked the court to appoint a trustee to handle the business soon after the filings.

Same old ...

Quote:
Home calls himself the Chairman of Arizona's Independent Rights Party, which offers legal help and "Foreclosure Recovery Services." The site states: "Experience to our party members has shown that lawyers should not be allowed in our Courts nor our government."

The owner of the pizza place signed with him.

Quote:
Apostolou, for his part, testified that he hoped Home would help him with the bankruptcy, and that "he had signed documents for Home but had never borrowed or lent him any money." Apostolou also said he and his wife didn't understand what they were signing. But, he told the Tribune of Home: "He's a man who cares about people, who helps people save their homes from illegal foreclosures."

Oh look. Sovereign Citizens. Here in Washington State...

‘Sovereign’ Washington group draws federal fire

Quote:
The following month, a Yelm police officer shocked Raymond Jarlik Bell with a Taser following a traffic stop. Like his wife, Raymond Jarlik Bell was stopped driving a car without legitimate plates; according to court documents, he’d made his own and was carrying a “County Ranger” badge at the time.

“I really didn’t appreciate being tased and they are lucky I didn’t have my shotgun with me or there would have been a bunch of dead cops,” Raymond Jarlik Bell allegedly said after being booked into jail. “Not that I’m hunting cops; but like hunting pheasant, when you see one, you shoot one.”

Responding to a misdemeanor charge of criminal impersonation, Ute Jarlik Bell filed a memo – signed by four “witnesses” in the manner commonly used by sovereign citizens – claiming police have no right to stop drivers, that her car was stolen from her and that she was in effect kidnapped by the police. She went on to threaten to abduct anyone involved in the case against her.

“I must view you as criminals,” Ute Jarlik Bell said a 26-page memo filed in King County District Court. “I view your threat … against my exercise of my right to public vehicular travel to be baseless and unlawfully intended to coerce me into a mode of compliance with laws which DO NOT pertain to public vehicular travelers such as myself and my family.”

For some reason Yelm attracts weirdos like JZ Knight and her Rantha minions. Got a fairly nice Native Am Casino up the highway though.

I think it is dangerous to coddle these lunatics. These parasites, who want to use resources paid for by other's taxes while refusing to pay their own taxes, are nothing but common criminals. Yet they are allowed to act in the most outrageous manner and not be sent to prison for life where they belong, or to a lunatic asylum. I doubt you'd see standoffs with these domestic terrorists if the first time they pulled some bullshit like a fake license plate, they got hauled off to prison and given the maximum sentence for forgery.

Too bad we don't actually have FEMA camps for these leeching, thieving scum.

When I was a teenager, I lived with family friends for 1.5 years. I was the family's babysitter for ages, and then became family. Andrew was the middle child. I have known him since he was 2 or 3 years old.

My foster family and I are connected on Facebook. I suspect that Andrew is a Sovereign Citizen. He may not be linked to an actual SC group, but Andrew is leaning in that direction. Which really scares the hell out of me at times. Perhaps I read too much into his "government is a great evil" comments. I haven't read anything by Andrew that indicates he believes that paper money is evil. But don't even criticize guns. He goes ballistic.

This pic was initially posted by one of my FB friends!

It surprises me that Andrew literally cannot see the differences between the 2 groups. Or that he has no problem cherry-picking from the Constitution.

There is nothing good within the SC movement. It is dangerous; some members are downright Anti-American. Thankfully, Andrew is not. But I don't think it would take much to push him in that direction.)

Sovereign Citizen ‘Governor’ And ‘Christian Princess’ Convicted Of Tax Fraud

Quote:
An Alabama couple who considered themselves sovereign citizens — who required their tenants to pay rent in silver coins and buried $350,000 worth of gold coins in their backyard — were convicted of conspiracy to defraud the U.S. and three counts of tax evasion on Friday.

Monty Ervin and Patricia Ervin, owners and managers of Southern Realty, amassed “hundreds of investment properties over the last decade, receiving more than $9 million in rental income,” but paid nothing in federal income taxes, according to the Justice Department.

[snip]

Their letters to the IRS — in which Patricia refers to herself as “a sovereign Most Christian Princess as certified by His Most Christian Majesty, Prince George, the Arch-Treasurer for ‘The United States of America’ in the Treaty of Paris of 1783” and Monty declares he’s “not a numbered member of the communitarian welfare benefit trust called Social Security Administration” — are embedded below:

So ... these guys (and gals) are so obsessed about names and the correct spelling etc. and they are worried about losing their true identities to the paper persons the government creates, but Patricia still takes Monty's last name? Or are they brother and sister? :-?

AK Sovereign Citizen Had Bomb-Making Instructions, Info On ‘Remote Viewing’

A ‘sovereign citizen’ and member of the Alaska Peacemakers Militia was arrested for illegally possessing a firearm when attempting to cross into Canada, and was found with instructions on how to make pipe bombs, information on carrying concealed firearms and lists of websites that teach “remote viewing.”

On Friday, prosecutors in Alaska filed a memo in opposition to Mary Ann Morgan’s release in advance of a bail hearing on Wednesday. Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven Skrocki argued in the filing that Morgan is “a danger to the community, a flight risk and is totally incapable of abiding by any conditions issued by this court concerning pretrial release given her sovereign citizen beliefs.”

Last week, Morgan was charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, after border agents found a Beretta .32 caliber pistol in her car at the Alaska Highway border crossing into Canada.

But, according to the filing, a “horde of documents” found in Morgan’s car suggests she may have had bigger plans. The documents include hand-written directions on how to build pipe bombs and render salt into an explosive, and were “all apparently written in the defendant’s hand,” according to prosecutors. There was also information from the internet on Ricin, a lethal toxin derived from castor beans, a list of common household poisons, a reference to a “poisonous planets database” and a written reference to an internet site called “close combat training.com” which is exactly what is sounds like. ...

Morgan is secretary of Schaeffer Cox’s Alaska Peacemakers Militia, according to prosecutors, and has also been a frequent poster on the Google forum for the Alaska Citizens Militia. In one post, Morgan described how she served on the jury for Cox’s common-law trial in the back of a Denny’s restaurant. Cox is currently awaiting trial for allegedly stockpiling weapons in a plot to kill several state officials.

The Flatcap of understanding has revealed his defense... he was just an innocent bystander just talking about hating the goverment when the goverment made him do all that bad stuff. And he even tried to warn the goverment about it as he is such an upstanding citizen.

http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.c ... rthrow.php

Quote:
Francis “Schaeffer” Cox recalls in an affidavit filed in federal court on Tuesday that he (accompanied by Jeremy Baker and Les Zerbe) met with gun dealer Bill Fulton in Fairbanks in August 2010. Cox says Fulton was in town to participate in a fundraiser for the Interior Conservative Coalition that was being held at Far North Tactical, which is owned by Fulton “protege” Aaron Bennett.

...

Cox’s affidavit claims that Fulton “kept pushing and pushing the question ‘what my plan was’ and that his men were being mobilized to attack the government.”

...

He even claimed he contacted an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Fairbanks and told him that the two men were trying “to do something stupid” and that their attack plan “was inconsistent with our philosophy.” He said he did not give Fulton and Bennet’s names to the unnamed federal prosecutor.

...

Cox’s rhetoric, Traverso argues, is protected by the First Amendment.

“This case is not is not about drug trafficking; this case is not about firearms trafficking,” argues Traverso. “This case is about the trafficking of ideas that gave rise to overreaching by the government for speech critical of the same.”
