Fox News and Glenn Beck announced Wednesday that Beck will "transition off of his daily program" later this year.

Beck's production company, Mercury Radio Arts, will instead work with Fox News to produce programs for the channel.

Fox News and Mercury Radio Arts, Glenn Beck’s production company, are proud to announce that they will work together to develop and produce a variety of television projects for air on the Fox News Channel as well as content for other platforms including Fox News’ digital properties. Glenn intends to transition off of his daily program, the third highest rated in all of cable news, later this year.

Yep. his ratings dropped 40% since last year.

My personal analysis is the trash in. Beckistan was starting to really stink up the joint so Faux decided it was time to start taking it out.

It's a funny thing with successful nutjobs; they feel that they got to where they are by being over the top, and the only way they can stay there is be being even more over the top. But they lose all sense of perspective, and eventually get so over the top that even fellow nutjobs think they're nuts.

That's a very interesting observation. Should we call it "BFB's Syndrome"? When is it going to happen to Limbaugh? Or does he have a better sense of when to pull back from the edge? (I don't listen to him, myself. I just hear second-hand reports from time to time of what he has been saying.)

His latest meme is that Unions are a money laundering operation for the Democrat party, in other words public unions (the evil police, firefighters, teachers etc) get paid by TAXPAYERS, they then pay their dues to their Unions, who in turn pay to support the Democrats.

See, in a private company, the people across the table from the union are the company bigwigs so they just naturally don't want to give in to all any union demands...well, the good ones don't want to anyway. Beck said he took a job at Fox News two years ago because he felt “if I could prove my case that something wicked this way was coming, something in America was wrong, America would listen, and they have.”

Beck's 5 p.m. program, which earned scorn from liberals for its attacks on President Obama as well as its devotion to sometimes-obscure right-wing thinkers, was a top cable draw in 2009 and a signpost for the populist "tea party" movement in last year's midterm elections, which dealt a ballot-box rebuke to the White House.

But ratings plummeted and advertisers bailed as Beck — a cherubic, salt-and-pepper-haired longtime radio host who has compared himself to a rodeo clown — increasingly pursued a hard-to-follow agenda that many found too conspiracy-minded. He also chafed his bosses at Fox News, who faulted him for spending too much time on his far-flung business operations and not enough on honing his TV presentation.

Indeed, many executives at Fox News reportedly felt that Beck was never a good fit with the channel, which includes programming with such hosts as Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity that appeals to more mainstream conservatives. This divide grew sharper in recent months, as Beck devoted more time to so-called "black helicopter" conspiracy theorists who view government agencies as allied with shadowy business and tech interests determined to manipulate the lives of ordinary people. Even some fans began to complain that Beck was ripping off anti-government ideas popularized by another popular radio host, Alex Jones.

[Beck] pushed further into dark conspiracies, urging his viewers to hoard food in their homes and to buy freeze-dried meals for sustenance when civilization breaks down. He spun a conspiracy theory in which the American left was in cahoots with an emerging caliphate in the Middle East. And, most ominously, he began to traffic regularly in anti-Semitic themes.

This vile turn for Beck reached its logical extreme two weeks ago, when he devoted his entire show [highlight]to a conspiracy theory about various bankers, including the Rothschilds, to create the Federal Reserve[/highlight]. To make this case, Beck hosted the conspiracy theorist G. Edward Griffin, who has publicly argued that the anti-Semitic tract “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion” “accurately describes much of what is happening in our world today.”

Griffin’s Web site dabbles in a variety of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, including his view that “present-day political Zionists are promoting the New World Order.”

A month earlier, Beck, on his radio program, had described Reform rabbis as “generally political in nature,” adding: “It’s almost like Islam, radicalized Islam in a way.”

A few months before that, he had [highlight]attacked the Jewish billionaire George Soros[/highlight], a Holocaust survivor, as a “puppet master” and read descriptions of him as an “unscrupulous profiteer” who “sucks the blood from people.” [highlight]Beck falsely called Soros “a collaborator” with Nazis who “saw people into the gas chambers.”[/highlight]

I drove to work and heard part of Glenn Beck’s show. Beck was created by the establishment and set up to be the false messiah. He says a lot of things that make sense, in order to get your trust and following, but later he attacks ones that dare to go against the status quo of the establishment.

If you recall, I told you about it previously, particularly during the run of JD Hayworth against John McCain in AZ. When it looked, that Hayworth will win, Beck was used as a tool to slam Hayworth and keep in place RINO McCain.
