Julie Driscoll at Chicago Liberal Examiner rips Timmy and Fogbow gets a shout out.
And the birthers go wild!
From reagancoalition.com to exposeobama.com to my personal favorite site for the crazy and paranoid, freerepublic.com, the birthers finally had proof, in their minds, that President Obama is not an American: A former Hawaii Elections Clerk, Timothy Lee Adams (employed on a "temporary contract"), stated unequivocally in his Western Kentucky University masters thesis, entitled (depending on which source you cite), "Discourse and Conflict: The President Barak H. Obama Birth Certificate Controversy and the New Media" that President Obama has no birth certificate in Hawaii. Says so right there in his thesis, right under the part where he misspells the name of the subject of the thesis. Details, details.

Okay, so maybe Adams played it a little fast and loose with facts - all of the facts. As t
hefogbow.com noted, " . . . [H]e [Adams] essentially made the crazy claim that he worked at an official government agency in charge of determining the eligibility of candidates for office, that after a thorough investigation, his office found that then-Senator Obama was NOT born in the state of Hawaii, but that they put him on the ballot anyway as a state-certified, fully eligible candidate, on the basis that it's possible that he might have been born in one of the other states. In other words, Tim Adams has never offered anything but unsubstantiated and unreliable hearsay to back up his story, and he outright lied about one critically important aspects of the story, that his office was responsible for verifying the identity of candidates for the state ballot in Hawaii in 2008."

On
thefogbow.com there's a YouTube video of The Political Cesspool radio show, along with an affidavit of Timothy Lee Adams. Except, there seems to be a problem with this affidavit: It isn't even signed by Timothy Lee Adams, it's signed by the Notary Public, Heather Whitfield. There's no Notary seal (which calls into question her legitimacy as a Notary), and the only place Timothy Lee Adams' name appears is scribbled at the bottom, below the notary block. This affidavit, as affidavits go, is about as legal and legitimate as graffiti on a rail car. It's not often, in legitimate "legal" documents, that one sees the Notary Public signing as affiant - verifying the truth of the facts in the affidavit, which are provided by someone else - and notarizing her own signature. In a lot of states, that kind of notarizing would get you thrown out of notary-land.
Ah, birthers. Rocket scientists they ain't.
Thanks, Julie.
