One would think that she would have learned from Corsi that fiction doesn't sell unless it is well-written. Oh well.

[-X [-X [-X After all this time, you should have realized not to use the word "learned" and and birther in the same sentence.

I'd be worried/offended if I wrote a book and my husband didn't want to read the manuscript. "Oh, that's all right, hon, I'll wait until I can hold the finished copy in my hands" to me sounds he doesn't want anything to do with it and doesn't think there's a chance in hell the thing will get printed.

That might be because you are sane.

I'll admit that I totally faked reading my wife's manuscript, but that's because it was basically a masters thesis that I didn't understand too good. I still took the time to pretend to read it and made some properly encouraging noises. Then she asked me some questions... #-o

Maybe Fred's waiting to read it once he's recouped his $10K.

Good lord, she can't even con 300 friends and family to buy her book? That's sad.

Not that I'm sad about it.

Just in case you missed it, Rondeau had an Exclusive! on Sept. 25, 2011: a preview of the Epilogue to Miki's book.

There is not much worth quoting, as you've already heard all of her tripe.

My first thought was that Orly must have stolen all of Miki's comma's. One thing is obvious -- Mike wrote this herself, no ghost writer or editor involved. Personally, I think Miki's work doesn't even reach the level of tripe. I think it's mistake to let people get a taste of her absolutely horrible writing -- especially if she expects folks to pony up $20+ dollars.

I notice that comments are closed which is a good thing for Miki.

The right-wing site "Actual Grit" publishes on 12 January a satirical piece claiming Obama's Chicago house was foreclosed on.

Guess who falls for it:

Image

Gullible thy name is birther.

Oh look. Self-proclaimed "IT expert", "Adobe Illustrator" and Orly panty-sniffer Chito Papa makes an appearance too!

Image

Gullible AND wanting someone to shoot the President. How charming.

She needed Larry Sinclair to market it.

Miki's a hateful little idiot and it's not a big  that she would fall for the foreclosure spoof. I mean...She fell for Dean Haskins, right?

I wouldn't be able to - and if I wrote a book it would be sane, on a real topic and (hopefully) better written. We just don't have that many friends and family.

FYI Facebook friends: I am disassociating myself with the Birther Summit and sent this email to Dean Haskins, Executive Director

Dean,

I would appreciate it if you remove my bio and all references of my association with Birther Summit immediately.

Your attacks against Orly Taitz are despicable and I will not tolerate it.

I also want to go on record that I asked several times to reconsider the name of the summit because the word "birther" is insulting and damages our credibility on the most important issue of our lifetime. I have worked too hard trying to save our country from tyranny and evil and your ego along with the egos of those who have chosen to stand with you against Orly is only defeating my purpose.

Sincerely,

Miki Booth"

When I lived on Oahu, I heard both "Ma*Halo" and "Mah*Alo" from the locals. Merriam-Webster uses "Ma*Ha*Lo" as their definition.

Personally, I think Miki Booth is more familiar with the phrase wahahe‘e ilio wahine.

What's the translation for 'kama'aina?'

They think it's the NAME that damaging their credibility? It's their credulity that's damaging their credibility.

Kama'aina literally translates as "child of the land". It's used to refer to anyone who is a local, not just Native Hawai'ians. IIRC, kanaka is the term for a Native Hawai'ian. I'm a malihini - a newcomer.

Miki Booth is what's known as 'lolo'

I believe the accepted translation is "just plain nuts", but "fucked in the noodle" works for me.

Mike, I just learnt something new, thanks. Kanaka ( pronounced kan ack uh) is a word used to describe the Pacific Islanders brought into Queensland in the late 19th and early 20th century to work in the sugar cane fields. They were often treated like slaves.
Kanakas is often used as a slang term for testicles.
