Did I mention that, the other day, Bachmann was wishing Elvis a Happy Birthday?

On the Anniversary of his death.....

As stoopid as Michele Bachmann is, Rick Perry makes her sound like Marie Curie.

Quite a field the Republicans have this year--looks like a race to the bottom of the dung heap.

Huntsman seems to be the exception. Of course, his appeal is not going to be to the big money pacs or the RW ingnorati.

I went back a couple of pages, and didn't see that this had been discussed yet. Michele Bachmann has been palling around with terrorists.

Quote:
The evangelical organizer who helped Michele Bachmann win the Ames Straw Poll in Iowa Saturday was previously charged with terrorism in Uganda after being arrested for possession of assault rifles and ammunition in February 2006, just days before Uganda's first multi-party elections in 20 years.

Can you imagine if Bill Ayers had been arrested FOR terrorism five years ago?

If you thought Michele Bachmann would back off her sub-$2 gas claim, you better think again.

The Republican candidate stood by her promise of gasoline under two bucks despite receiving criticism from the public and even some of her fellow presidential candidates.

“The price of gasoline the day that Barack Obama took office was $1.79 a gallon,” the Minnesota congresswoman said during an interview on America’s Morning News radio program. “If the price of gasoline was $1.79 a gallon just two and three years ago, certainly we can get it back down to that level again. Why wouldn’t we be able to do that? We’re a ‘can-do’ America.”

Bachmann makes another one of her "pledges"... This is one stupid woman. I thought Snowball Snookie was stupid, but Michele looks like the front runner at the moment.

Bachmann is desperate. Perry has sucked up her crazies and she is collapsing in the polls. You can look forward to her making even more absurd statements to win back her crazies in the future.

Uh, call me senile, but gas wasn't 1.79/gal in 2008/09, iirc it was damn near 3.00/gal.

You're senile. At the nadir of the financial collapse in late 2008 it was down to $1.80 a gallon (national average, regular). I posted the chart somewhere on this site and you can also Google historic gas prices.

Ok, I'm senile. :)

Must be all this expensive "petrol" crap I have to buy here that's clouding my memory

Jeeze Louise. I just can't fathom having someone so stupid in the WH.

Sure Michele, we can cause another world-wide recession-almost-depression and the price of gas will go back down... ](*,)

Well, we know what she plans to do:

Eliminate minimum wage, so everyone has a job (though, of course, that means many will be slaves by a new name).

Then, when there is so little money out there being made, gas will go down! But no one will have any money to buy it. Only the rich.

And people like her and her lovely husband, who both suckle their full from the government teat.

Her whole campaign is a joke she can't even go a day without saying something mindnumbingly stupid. She thinks we can bring down gas $2 a gallon by drilling in the Everglades.

Bachmann says Obama policies led to Arab spring

Like that's a bad thing?

Quote:
Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann says President Obama's Middle East policy is to blame for the popular uprisings against autocratic regimes across the Arab world.

At a fundraiser here, Bachmann said she thinks the president "laid the table for the Arab Spring by demonstrating weakness," and particularly noted his call for Israel to return to its borders prior to the 1967 war with Egypt.

Bachmann, who has a track record of jumbled facts and sometimes false assertions, also drew an analogy between Obama's treatment of Israel and the fall of the shah of Iran during the Democratic administration of President Jimmy Carter, an event she maintained led to the rise of radicalism in the Islamic world.
