In the German speaking parts, looking at Genesis, A&E continued to sin forever = "und sie sündigten in einem fort". Crudely translates as: they sinned in a Ford, and established the first documented use of a automobile

Apropos of nothing, someone pointed out this picture of Copeland to me today and of course I have to post it.

On the one hand, I think him using contributors' dollars to buy a plane (when he could *rent* one) is a huge waste of money. On the other hand, I would prefer to travel without seeing that grinning face!

I bet it would have been cheaper to time share a executive jet operated by an experienced managment company that also provides the pilots and other crew, and has maintenance under control. Corporate execs would use it under the week, the holier than thou would use it at weekends. They can always change their minds with a sell-and-lease-back contract.

You are correct, but it wouldn't look and sound as cool as having your very own jet. This way the contributors can live vicariously through Copeland.

Having your own corporate jet does sound cool. I knew a guy who owned 1/2 of an old v-tail Bonanza (aka the "Doctor Killer") that he always called "the corporate jet."

Ahh, so now we know where Cain was conceived. No wonder he turned into a murderous bastard. Now if he'd been conceived in a Holden . . .

Then there's the old tent revival story of a country preacher whose son made an eloquent plea for a shiny red sports car on his 18th birthday. The preacher listened patiently, then said:

"Son, I have tried for eighteen years - and I intend to keep trying - to teach you to emulate Christ in all things. Jesus walked."
