Where might one look to find figures for Corsi's book sales on his body of lies work?

Wait a cotton pickin' minute! Did Esquire put a question mark after the title? So they can say anything they fucking please according to Wing Nut Daily rulz? Look at #12. These fuckwads are so used to putting question marks on headlines they added one that was not there in the Esquire article. =)) =))

This is the original Esquire article: BREAKING: Jerome Corsi's Birther Book Pulled from Shelves!

and in #12 in the complaint it reads:

Quote:
BREAKING: Jerome Corsi's Birther Book Pulled from Shelves?

Farah assumed that Esquire was as much of a bunch of chickenshits as they are.

If the lawsuit isn't settled or dismissed we're going to find out how many copies of this piece of trash were printed, the costs of doing so, how many were sold, whether any were bought by WND to inflate its sales numbers, and lots of other delightful, interesting stuff.

In addition, since the defendant will be out to prove the book wouldn't sell well, its veracity will also be on trial as a book that is a complete lie will arguably sell less well than a truthful book (or maybe it's the other way around).

Ther bottom line is, as others have posted, this lawsuit is a win-win for us. -xx

Hey Stern,

What's the chances that when this is all over we'll be seeing something like this?

World Net Daily
A wholly owned subsidiary of Hearst Inc.

I don't think any legitimate news operation would want to be within 100 miles of the sleaze machine that is WND. Larry Klayman, the attorney for WND and the "brains" behind Judicial Watch, is going to get his ass handed to him.

From Larry Klayman's wikipedia page:
Quote:
Larry Elliot Klayman (born July 20, 1951) is an American attorney and activist. He is known as the founder and former Chairman of Judicial Watch, a public interest and non-profit law firm, which attained notoriety through the initiation of 18 civil lawsuits against the Clinton Administration, and subsequently, an unsuccessful lawsuit against Vice-President Dick Cheney in order to obtain information about the White House's energy task force.

In September 2003, Klayman left the organization to run for the United States Senate from Florida. He lost in the Republican primary. In 2006 Klayman sued Judicial Watch and its president Tom Fitton charging financial and other mismanagement issues which damaged Judicial Watch, the donors and Klayman.

[...]

Klayman has authored the books Fatal Neglect and Whores: Why and How I Came to Fight the Establishment, and writes a weekly column for the conservative news website WorldNetDaily.

In April 2011, Klayman filed a lawsuit against Facebook, accusing the social media website of "negligence" for not responding quickly enough to calls to take down an anti-Israel "Third Intifada" page and demanding $1 billion in damages. Facebook representatives dismissed the suit as "without merit". The lawsuit is ongoing.

I just thought Hearst might like to get control of WND just to shut it down is all :)

I'm surprised he didn't demand to be paid in gold.

While we're on Klayman:

Quote:
Stone and Jensen worked together in 2003 in the Florida senate campaign of Larry Klayman, the founder of Judicial Watch who says Stone took him "to the cleaners" in a campaign that wiped him out financially (he finished with one percent of the vote). Klayman calls Jensen, who was his campaign treasurer, one of Stone's "dirty dozen."

Jason Linkens at HuffPo took notice of the newest Birther suit :

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/06/2 ... 87238.html

He says that what really hurt the sale of the book was the production of the LFBC and not the publication of a piece of satire in Esquire.

It will be interesting to see how they will attempt to prove damages. However, isn't their real goal to get their vile smears out in the public eye in another splash of publicity? Do they really think they will come out ahead in this case?

Maybe Farah can sue Obama for that - claiming he intentionally timed the release of his LFBC to damage the reputation of WND and sales of the book. The fun part would be the twisted logic behind claiming that Obama released a forged birth certificate to damage sales of a book claiming his birth certificate is fake! LOL! He might actually be able to get discovery so he can prove the LFBC is fake in order to support the claim. Then when it turns out to be genuine, his whole claim falls apart (not to mention the birther movement) and truth, justice and the American Way once again reign supreme....

Ok. Look. For some reason, up until about noon today, I was only awake for 5 of the previous 36 hours, so my thoughts are maybe a bit jumbled up with dreams, but hey, even if it's impractical (or impossible) ya gotta admit it's a funny idea, eh? :D

No, no, no - Obama timed the release of LFBC to ruin Orly's oral argument before the 9th Circuit. Just ask, she'll tell ya.

The brain trust at drkate's batshit crazy blog "seems" to think this is some sort of birther suit or that no lawsuit ever gets decided... or sumpin'.

The universal law of random perversity seems to be working in our favor for a change—the WND – Esquire flap may well be the opening that has been so elusive. Esquire really stepped in a bucket when they challenged Farah’s veracity regarding the BC authenticity. Also, bho is going off-scale in his attack on Congress and everyone of a logical mind. The noose is dropping over his head and he knows it—and is getting panicy. He has lost his cool and will make some serious blunders.

RE: WND suing Esquire

It will be interesting to see what excuse the judge will use to avoid ruling on merit. No judge in the US is allowed to rule on merit and trigger discovery
Some of your hopes are not realistic.

Cross posted from the WND thread:

Terry Krepel from ConWebWatch attended the press conference and has an article up on it.

The WND Birther Lawsuit Dog and Pony Show (And The Question Joseph Farah Won't Answer)

As timing would have it Terry will be on RC Radio tonight. :-bd

Image

Check out this exchange:

Quote:
Finally, I tried to ask Farah if he could confirm Tim Adams' assertion that the affidavit he signed claiming that he had been told that no copy of Obama's birth certificate existed in state files was created by WND-affiliated lawyers. [Tim Adams admitted that on RC Radio] Here's how that exchange went:

FARAH: I really don't -- Terry, If you want to obsess about stuff like that, I invite you to do so. I would really like to focus on why the president of the United States and the White House are issuing bogus birth certificates rather than why somebody at WorldNetDaily, which lawyer they consulted to --

ME: But if you're creating news to forward the story --

FARAH: Terry, we all know your work.

ME: You're creating news and not reporting it.

FARAH: We appreciate all of the attention that you devote to WND.com. Thanks very much.

And with that the press conference came to an abrupt end.

That same Conwebblog post notes:

Quote:
I pointed out to Corsi that, his and Farah's assertions to the contrary, there are people who will defend the authenticity of the PDF birth certificate or at least rebut its attackers, such as Dr. Conspiracy's detailed rebuttal of the Ken Vogt analysis that Corsi devoted three WND articles to. Corsi's response was a curious one: After calling Dr. Conspiracy "one of my favorites," Corsi said, 'I'll be writing about Dr. Conspiracy in the next few days. I'll be exposing his background, his entire credentials, his involvement with his company. I've got a detailed -- I just haven't had time to write it up."

When I asked Corsi why he's personally attacking his critics by digging into their backgrounds, Corsi suddenly softened his tone: "I'm sorry, I said I would evaluate his credentials. It's not a personal attack, but we're going to evaluate his credentials in his point-by-point."

Le sigh...
