Actually, it's not the "1/32 Cherokee" that counts, but whether or not you are enrolled.

Take it from one who is 1/32 Cherokee, but whose great-great-grandfather refused to allow his half-Cherokee son to be enrolled with the tribe. A true (enrolled) 1/32 is enough to live on the reservation ...
