An update for folks here:

The debate on the forgery evidence is tomorrow, Saturday January 21, at 2 pm US Central Time. It will take place on Mark Gillar's Tea Party Power Hour.

The debate will include myself, Mara Zebest, Karl Denninger, and Tom Harrison. This will be the first time that such a discussion of the evidence for the forgery theories, with proponents on both sides of the issue, has taken place.

Mark has scheduled up to two hours for the debate. Interested persons can tune in live at www.markgillar.com. For those who should miss it, the recording will be available via the same site.

Mr. Woodman, Giller’s site has the following comment on their schedule for your debate:
“Sign The Petition Demanding An Immediate Congressional Investigation Into Barack Obama's Forged Birth Certificate and Fake Social Security Number”

It appears you are going to debate birthers on their terms, too bad.

Incidentally, Loren does make a good point that refusal to debate is not necessarily, in itself, an indication of a weak argument.

However, I think it may become so if there's no valid reason for the refusal.

As far as Doug Vogt goes, I've accepted his reasons. I do think he needs to read my book, though -- which at the time I talked to him he had not done.

In talking to Mr. Vogt, I don't get at all the sense that I'm dealing with a charlatan. He comes across as a very sincere person, much like Paul Irey in my early interactions with him. I think he really believes he "has the goods" on Mr. Obama.

I'm not so sure--Corsi can't be happy with Orly occupying the attention of the birtherstani. He may feel he needs to do something to get people to pay attention to him again.

I wonder if Corsi will use his own arguments, or if he'll copy someone else's. :-k

It'll be a lot of "Many people have been questioning...," "I'm not saying this, but someone did...," "It's a fact that there are questions about...," "It's been widely reported...," and other random Corsi bullshit.

I see nothing on Gillar's Blog Talk page that indicates this show is scheduled. His practice is to record shows to edit and play later. I am still betting that is the case with this one. We will see tomorrow.

The birthers really have trouble understanding that the final authority on who was born in Hawai'i is the State of Hawai'i. This concept just doesn't fit through their confirmation biases.

I don't get it. He's free to edit after the show, but why not let the live debate air? Those ums, ahs and pregnant pauses are quite telling in a debate. I don't understand unless he wants editorial control and the ability to censor/cut the parts he may not like.

It may be live. I am just saying there is no link to a live show and Gillar has never done a live show to my knowledge.

BTW, be fully prepared for Corsi, if not the others as well, to use tomorrow's forum as an opportunity to crow about the judge's order today in Georgia. Throw some cold water on that by pointing out that it's highly likely that we'll see a modified motion containing legal citations and drafted to fit the needs laid out in today's order, followed by a new order granting that motion.

In a nutshell: the fact that Obama's attorney submitted a substandard motion does not, in any way, suggest that the Birthers are actually *right* in any of their claims. And they would be wise not to invest too much hope in this judge because of this determination.

:o Well, then it'll be worth listening in.

The idea of birthers being wise is not something that keeps me up at nights.

Being prepared for anything with birthers is good advice. As Loren argues however, logic indicates that a judge's ruling on subpoena(s) has absolutely nothing to do with the bona fides (or not) of Obama's LFBC.
