You know I was watching a show where they had the unseen footage from those "To Catch A Predator" series and I found myself thinking about Birfers and how much fun it would be to have a series like this for people like that.

1. Go into internet chat rooms and invite people to super sekrit meetings to plan the downfal of the userper
2. When they show up have someone from behind a screen offer them cookies
3. Have a good celebrity come out to face them and challenge them on their assertions and have direct quotes from their chat logs
4. Show the camera's and ask if they have anything else to say and tell them their free to go
5. As they leave have a crowd of people outside laughing at them. They can have signs etc...

As I write this I understand that most if not all of them would be suspicious beyond anything imaginable and never likely show up. For those that do the offer of cookies would likely push them over the edge and cause them to flee the scene.

Feel free to improve upon the idea.

It is not suspicion that keeps them from showing up, it is cowardice. As keyboard warriors, a lot of birthers call for armed revolution to remove the hated black man from the nation's highest office. But when it comes to actually leaving the house to do something, they prefer to let some other guy go first. They won't even attend a rally to carry a sign for a few hours.

Despite the birther delusion that the majority of Americans and the US military are on their treasonous side, they fear that they could wrong about that. If they are wrong and take to streets in armed revolt, or attempt to serve bogus "grand jury indictments" or try to effect citizen's arrests on the President or a member of Congress, they fear that they themselves will be arrested or worse.

If they had the courage of their convictions, they would do it anyway. (Not that I want them to.) But they are cowards. Treasonous, lying cowards.

I think it's a lot simpler than that: there aren't very many birther activists to begin with. Sure there are lots of people who got an email about Obama's eligibility and bought the rumor or generally dislike Obama and would say he wasn't born in the US on a poll just for spite. But I keep bumping into the same small group.

It's also possible that some of them are elderly and unable to travel.

It would be easy to catch the Queen of the Birthers. Send an invitation to be a keynote speaker at some teabagging group's meeting or a meet-and-greet dinner for an obscure anti-immigration candidate and she will come.
