Despite my general support of the issues MoveOn.org represents, I don't think I will ever forgive them for their Gen. BetrayUs campaign. To make it worse, I had made a contribution for that ad, sight unseen. I haven't made one since.

Yeah, that one bugged me, too. The first time I ran across the practice was during the Clinton years when a lot of conservatives I corresponded with would always write his name "Klinton." I have yet to figure out exactly what that was supposed to communicate about him, but it did communicate pretty loudly about the writer.

It was suppose to call basically Clinton a Communist, since everything Russian begins with K (I think)...

That was their thought process behind it, I think...

I'm guilty. I called Bush every name under the sun, but mostly Shrub, Shrubya, W and Dicktater.

Dicktater is a term of endearment here on the Foggybow.

I saw a couple of videos about this. One is just an insane rant. I mean it. It didn't make any sense.

This one is from Citizen Wells. I'm posting just cuz it has the news clips in it. They covered this on the tv news.

It's too long. I recommend if you watch it, to use the FF button thru a lot of it. I did.

I didn't deliberately misspell his name ... but I did make my own bumper sticker on CafePress once:

I called him Dumbya, the Bush Bastard, Busholini, that idiot who's too stupid to eat a pretzel, and innumerable other things.

I generally stuck with Dubya and The Dufus.

I try to be a gentleman, but that is mostly a facade.

I've certainly given 41 and 43 Hell (and Reagan and others too), but I reject the idea that this is equivalent to the abuse of Obama that boils down to his skin color and the specious, imagined, feared claims about his eligibility to serve. Even the abuse Shrub suffered for the selection that was done by SCOTUS is a horse of another color and not comparable, IMO.

David Corn (Mother Jones) and Clarence Page (Chicago Tribune) were on Hardball to discuss Abercrombie's plans.

I think they are finally figuring out that it's about a fake controversy. That it's being done to paint the President as "Un-American".

The problem is that none of them know the birfers as well as TFB.

Thanks for posting that mimi. I was disappointed at first when I read that Abercrombie was giving Birthers so much attention, so early in his administration. We all know that minor-league Birthers like ronDUE, tickly, BZ, etc are just delusional paranoid personalities & won't back down on this. Reading more, I'm touched at Neil's loyalty to the memory of 2 of his deceased college classmates whom he considered friends. IMHO, his target here is the RWNJs in Congress, the media --i.e. Fox & Rush --, Caribou Barbie, & all those who flirt with & wink at Birthers. Foggy has stated somewhere here before, how ridicule of Birthers is effective, & that's the approach I still take with them. I'm sad to see that Neil takes this so personally, but also can understand how someone in his 70's might feel a loyalty to friends who have passed on.

In that case, I'll take more records, por favor. I'm a curious guy.

I'm niele too Foggy! (pronounced knee-ELL-lay). Meaning nosy or curious. As I stated ages ago when PJ started, I was a nurse at Kapiolani L&D, starting in the 70's, & I just wonder if a Doctor or nurse I used to work with, were among the first to care for a future President. It's a sentimental thing for those who help deliver babies. At birth, one's potential knows no bounds. I"ve bathed & bundled thousands of little ones, & idly wondered who they might become some day. Unfortunately, the family of Stanley Ann Dunham's OB-GYN might need to get a bodyguard if/when the information on the original long form COLB is released.

I think the good Gov does not "get it" when it comes to birfers. In fact, by his actions, it's obvious he does not get it.

No matter if he were able to release the "long-form" and/or the information on it, it will not matter one whit... in fact, will just create more BS which will be spread - back to square one, including it's the long-awaited forgery that's now been aged (yeah, it's already being spoken of). It will especially have no effect on the Vattellites.

The birthers care not if all information is legal and correct (which a good portion of them know it is). The noise created by their nonsense is to create political points against Obama, and he just ramped up the media on the issue... again.

Just my .02.

Governor Abercrombie states he does not care whether Obama or the White House like him bringing the issue up, he's not going to back off and will do whatever he legally can to "end this controversy."

Well, bless his heart. The road to Hell is paved with good ____________. :?:

Greenie is spot on, the hardcore birfers will make more hay of whatever he does -- or doesn't -- do.

For example, suppose Abercrombie and his AG and his Director of DOH come to the conclusion, against all odds, that the law of Hawai'i says exactly what Chiyome Fukino says it says: They CAN'T release the long-form birth certificate.

Suspicious, that. ?(

But I've been hoping the controversy went mainstream since before Johnny Appleseed had any apple seeds. I can't be inconsistent and start hoping today that it all just goes away.

None of us have ever expected the birthers to stop, and in fact we expect them to ramp things up to the best of their ability next year. Whatever Abercrombie does will have zero impact on what they say, think, or do.

What he can do is marginalize them even more than they're marginalized today. I just can't see this as a bad thing.

There's the other part to this that I wish the Gov would talk a little bit more about, aside from the personal, which is "clearing" Hawaii's name as the birthplace of a president and as a legitimate state of the union. Getting it all pinned down for history (and, naturally, the presidential library). Hawaii should have its statues and plaques and museums like any other presidential birthplace, without there being this cloud of falsehood and doubt. I'm okay with Abercrombie doing what he can legally do. :-bd

I saw on the twitter machine something like "If he's going to release the birth certificate, what was it they released before?"

Actually, the birthers are all keyed up on the twitter machine.

And the general jerks too.

Monday, Bankrupt Financial Planner tweets out (among his couple hundred tweets of the day):

Quote:
@GregWHoward: Obamas Make Rare Trip to Church While in Hawaii: http://bit.ly/fvMTOo Worshiping with us infidels? #tcot #p2 #ocra #sgp #phnm #tlot

It's just a nonstory in the Newmax.

But 12 people retweeted that tweet by Howard.

He hasn't been on the twitter machine today. Maybe he's sick. Some of his last tweets:

Quote:
Parting Shot: Sooner or later real story of Obama's past will come out, and will destroy the Dems forever. #tcot #ocra #p2 #sgp #tlot #phnm

@pdigaudio I agree. Obama's whole life is a case study in what you get with affirmative action, and yeah, I'll own the comment. about 16 hours ago via Seesmic Desktop in reply to pdigaudio

# @southsalem @imsure @csteven Pretty sure it's all going to be BS to try to forestall mounting legal challenges heading for SCOTUS about 16 hours ago via Seesmic Desktop in reply to southsalem

@pdigaudio Did he really attend Columbia? That's not even verified. about 16 hours ago via Seesmic Desktop in reply to pdigaudio

http://twitter.com/GregWHoward/

16,208 followers. I'm not one of them. He blocked me long ago. Only GG and I give him any kind of static. (And I haven't really be on twitter much lately.) He turned me in to de twitter police a couple weeks ago. And, they might have done something, except that I hadn't broken any rules.

Hawaii's Governor Wants to Reveal Obama Birth Info

Information requests rose despite a new state law allowing officials to ignore persistent and repetitive inquiries, a law that has been used about six times by the department, Okubo said.

"It's just a few people, and some of their requests are the same," she said. "The requests fluctuate from month to month."

Nearly all birth certificate information seekers are from the mainland United States, with requests rarely coming from Hawaii residents, said Cathy Takase, acting director for the state Office of Information Practices.

Yep, all the freeper threads on the subject that I've seen so far(quite a few at the moment), have serious comments suggesting that the "forgery" must be finally ready to release. EVERYTHING confirms the conspiracy to these guys, including actual proof proving otherwise.
