U. S. District Court
Eastern District of Louisiana (New Orleans)
CIVIL DOCKET FOR CASE #: 2:10-cv-01663-MLCF-JCW

Hornbeck Offshore Services, L.L.C.
v.

Salazar et al

Assigned to: Judge Martin L.C. Feldman
Referred to: Magistrate Judge Joseph C. Wilkinson, Jr
Case in other court: USCA, 5th Circuit, 10-30585
Cause: 43:1349Outer Continental Land Shelf Act
Date Filed: 06/07/2010
Jury Demand: None
Nature of Suit: 890 Other Statutory Actions
Jurisdiction: U.S. Government Defendant

This is not a "birther" case by any stretch. It is a suit filed related to the drilling moratorium that was placed on offshore drilling following the Gulf oil spill. Orly, however, has filed to intervene in the suit. And if she's allowed (not likely, but just sayin') then it will have a birther element to it.

I say not likely, but I just checked the docket in the case for the first time in quite a while, because I just assumed she'd submit it, they'd say no, and I'd post in the poopies thread or sumptin'.

As hard as it is to believe, this is on the docket...

Quote:
03/28/2011 252 MOTION to Intervene by Orly Taitz. Motion(s) referred to Joseph C. Wilkinson, Jr. Motion set for 5/11/2011 11:00 AM before Magistrate Judge Joseph C. Wilkinson Jr. (Attachments: # 1 Exhibit 1 - 8, # 2 Proposed Pleading, # 3 Proposed Pleading Exhibit 1 - 8)(caa, ) (Entered: 04/18/2011)

I'm not downloading the document, cuz... it's very long and we have already seen it, but just for informational purposes.

Why any court would actually hold a hearing on whether to allow Orly Taitz to insert her birther crap into a completely and totally unrelated case is beyond me... but there ya have it, folks. :-k

Is she admitted there pro hac vice? Let's hope she flies there and when she doesn't have a sponsoring attorney the court doesn't let her talk.

Hey Orly can go to this, give the Louisiana legislature a pep talk, explain to Bobby Jindal why he's not an NBC and still be back in CA for her first patient victim the next morning!

I'm sure any defendant would love to have O'rly on the opposing side. That makes the case a lead pipe cinch for the defendant. O'rly never wins. O'rly never disappoints.

I will be covering the hearing, assuming it goes forward, of course. :-bd

Hey a thread with links to the pages of all the judges involved in birfer litigation would be interesting to me at least.

If either of the parties spends as much as five minutes opposing Orly's intervention, I sincerely hope they take two extra minutes to make a two-sentence motion for sanctions in the amount of attorney's fees, plus postage, plus xerox costs, plus parking, plus whatever they can think of.

It doesn't get any more frivolous than this and she doesn't have to be admitted PHV (or even to be an attorney for that matter) to get slapped with sanctions for filing a vanity nuisance motion destined only to waste the court's and the parties' time.

What a despicable misuse of the judicial system. But, **sigh**, experience all but guarantees that the government won't do it. Maybe the plaintiff will rise to the occasion.

Yeah, baby! That's what I'm talkin' about!

We'll prob'ly have to have another special episode of R.C. Radio to hear the Butterfly Lady's report.

OMG -- she threw in the entire kitchen sink. And Obama's Selective Service Record, "readily available on the World Wide Web," once again the unredacted SS#, her own victimization ....

I am so hopeful that the court's not dismissing this out of hand means that they will let her fly to NOLA so that they can deliver her a real comeuppance, and some REAL sanctions.

WTF is Exhibit 1?

She still doesn't get what a Memorandum of Points and Authorities is (no surprise, coming from the World Worst Lawyer in the History of the World).

Um, the Motion is missing something...(other than a basis to grant it).

And, yoohoo, Orly, dumbass, it's "Intervenor". ](*,)

Edit: Oops! Thanks to someone who read my post more carefully than I.

I think that is just the beginning of the things you don't do in this court. I'm sure Orly will think of a bunch of other things not to do, and then do them. -xx

There's a decent chance that she'll come up with some that had never occurred to the judge before now.

Yeah.

Every time you think she's run out of new crazy shit to pull, she reaches deep into her bag of crazy and

But ... law of averages ... one of these days she has to run into some judge that decides he's the windshield and she's the bug. I think there's a chance the Butterfly Lady might could see her get squished with just some yellow goop left on the glass. 8>
