Thanks for the update on Tulip. What a scare, but SM is right, she'll come around.
Right after I typed that she hasn't tried to crawl up on my lap again yet, guess what she did? Not quite on my lap, but she jumped up on the couch and nestled in right next to my lap with her paw up on my leg. I expect she will be on top of my lap before bedtime.

We adopted a new kitty on Wednesday. She's a tortoiseshell, 3 years old, from King County Regional Animal Control. We now have three tortoiseshells, a patched torbie, and a male red tabby (he's the barn cat).

I'd post photos, but still haven't figured out how to do it.

When you're posting a reply, look farther down the page. You see the Options choice with Disable BBCode, etc? Right next to the word Options is a tab titled Attachments. Click on that, and then you'll see Add Files. Then it's just a matter of finding the file on your computer.

That happens to me too. I finally went a different route with inserting an image via the insert image via url button. I have some kitteh pics on my Goodreads photo page, picked that button, copied the url and used that.

Oh hell, that sounds too complicated trying to explain it.

I'll work on that angle.

If the pic has a url (photobucket, goodreads, whatever) use the image (mountain in the top row of symbols, where the bold, underline, etc are) tag. If it's on your computer, you can change the size of it to add it as an attachment.

Except Photobucket doesn't work anymore unless you pay the extortion.

My non techie way to do this:

If the file upload doesn't work, like it did for my babies, I went to option #2 - upload an image with a URL. Look at the top of the comment box, starting with the B at the left and move to the right. Pick the insert image button. Now, get the URL of the image you want to insert by right clicking on it to copy the URL. Chrome makes it a bit easier than IE does. You can upload a photo to a site like https://imgur.com/ to get a URL for your image, but Goodreads lets members upload a limited amount of photos to share with their friends. So...on my profile at Goodreads I go to my profile and then click on my photos and pick the one I want, then right click to get URL and come back here and insert that URL between the two brackets. Voila!

Image

Note: Goodreads membership is free, and the option is there to keep one's profile private.

Yes'm.

1. I go to Photobucket, find the graphic I want to copy. It's on a page with other graphics in an "album". I have 15 albums; 6 of them have sub-albums. But the graphics in albums and sub-albums are thumbnails, i.e., not full size.
2. So I click on the graphic I want to display. That takes me to a new page where the graphic is shown full size. That's my former kitteh, Rocky.
3. I right-click on the full size graphic and click "Copy image address". The exact wording is different from browser to browser, but that copies the URL of the graphic.
4. I paste the URL into my post, select (highlight) it, and then click this icon Image. That wraps the URL in img and /img tags (with brackets).

That still works for me. On my Android tablet, if I navigate to the graphic I want, I tap "Share" and one of the options is "Get links". That gives you a choice of a direct URL or the URL pre-wrapped in img tags. That's using the Samsung browser. I haven't tried it with Firefox on my Android yet, but Firefox won't let me paste a link to a tweet, so bad Firefox! But in a pinch I can always use Chrome, the Samsung browser, and I have some others to also.

I've often wondered what the complaint is about Photobucket. I share my Photobucket graphics all the time! :towel:

Shelby and Lizzie are due to go to new homes in less than three hours. Hopefully we'll see photos from the adoption event at FB. I will post links when I spot them later today.
