A Phoenix woman who allegedly sought to frame her ex-lover by sending an envelope with a suspicious white substance addressed to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office was arrested early Saturday morning, Sheriff Joe Arpaio said.
Alma Pacheco, 35, was arrested at 3 a.m. Saturday and later confessed to sending the white, powdery substance to the Sheriff's Office to embarrass and frame her ex-boyfriend, whose name she wrote on the return address, Arpaio said.
Pacheco sent the envelope to Arpaio's downtown Phoenix office "to get more publicity of her boyfriend's arrest," the sheriff said.

That girlfriend, Pacheco, reportedly sent him more than 6,000 texts and threatened to send cornstarch to the Sheriff's Office in order to get him in trouble, Arpaio said.
