WTF? A sidewalk? Or maybe under a canopy? Andy can sure pick a venue.

Muck, who wonders if he'll try to displace a falafel cart?

I was just reading Martin's blog and it's about senatorial candidate Richard Blumenthal. I the blog he goes into his time in Vietnam.

Quote:
The year 1967 found me in Viet-Nam, And 1968. And 1970. While someone actually gave me a pistol, and I learned how to break down the weapon and strip an M-16 I was always conscious of the separation between the men who did the shooting and the people who performed other tasks. I know that if we had been overrun out in the boondocks I would have picked up a rifle and killed. I had no moral compunctions about killing.

This paragraph caught my eye. I knew he got his B.A in 1966 and his J.D in 1969. How could he be in Vietnam and attend school in Champagin, Illinois??????

Also I found this statement very humourous.

Quote:
I come from a family of spooks and soldiers on both sides. And so there was always an expectancy I would enter the family business. My father was a decorated officer. So were my grandfather, and a great-grandfather. And there

Andy gives care and attention to his biography in Wikipedia, so it is quite strange that the claim to have served in Vietnam does not appear in that article. The sad thing is that Martin-Trigona may now believe that to be true. I think a whole lot of his life has been constructed on self-delusions.

A comment on Todd Gitlin's 2008 article on Martin-Trigona on TPMCafe reads:
Quote:
I knew Anthony R. Martin-Trigona when he was a student at the University of llinois at Urbana-Champaign. I was a faculty member holding office on the Urbana City Council. I'm Democratic. Tony (now Andy) was a student who ran for County Clerk as a Democrat (he barely made the minimum age and luckily for the County, he lost (luckily for the good of the County, he lost). While an undergrad, he took a month's trip to Viet Nam at government expense and when he returned, he was no longer anti the war, but very much pro war. Everyone was amazed, but figured he had been fed quite a line.

Later, he got a law degree from Illinois, but did not pass the character qualifications of the bar exam and was denied admission to the Illinois Bar. He sued for admission, but lost. As time went on, he got more and more far out, running for various offices in various states, adopting the name Andy Martin. When I knew him, he never seemed anti-Semitic (I am Jewish) but as he become weirder he started to make anti-Semitic remarks. From time to time, he gets mentioned in our local paper, The News-Gazette. Each new story is weirder the last. If this is the way Hannity operates, even the conservatives in our will find him without credibility.

He attempted pathetically to sue them for it. The case was thrown out because of his failure to comply with the injunction against him filing frivolous lawsuits in federal court.

What about infected sites? Many here do not dare to go there. So you need some daredevils to take screenshots while under permant attack. Is that still allowed ?

For the lawyers in the room; how does bar measure character qualifications?

No. He's been claiming that for a long time. Kinda hard to produce tapes of a conference when nobody showed. So, you tell birfers the tapes were stolen.

As I recall, the bar had some kind of psych evaluation. Maybe from the military or something. I'm not sure. But something is rumbling in my memory about that.

Not that it matters, but I really appreciate it when people share what's on Orly's blog. Sometimes it's a duplicate of what is already been reported, but I don't go to her site very often. I'm a chicken.

WOOOOOOOOO! \:D/ Take that, Andy!

So, I turned on my computer today and about 6" of my monitor is black with multi-color vertical stripes. When did I get this? What on earth do I do to computer equipment? {{sigh}} I hope it doesn't grow in size. I've had to shrink window size, but it's hard to use. I wonder if I have a warranty on this? If it's 90 days, it's probably gone. If it's a year, I hope they replace. I did really love this monitor. In any case, I need a new one.

I this the key sentence is:

Quote:
The term NBC meant, and still means, someone who was not only born in a country but someone who had both of his parents as citizens of the country at the time of his or her birth.

See the last paragraph in section B of the letter to General George W. Casey, Jr. at
http://www.pr-inside.com/barack-obama-i ... 915462.htm

Andy Martin offers no legal authority to back up that claim, nor does he analyze the many contrary authorities. Not very impressive for someone who claims to be a legal scholar.
