The Globe also recently reported that its "sources" were telling it that Hillary Clinton was leaving Bill and that she was going to move in with a female companion. They also reported that Bill is dying and Chelsea is pregnant.

I'm not sure what standards the other tabloids hold themselves to, but I'm pretty sure the Globe is happy just making crap up.

I was at the grocery store 2 hours ago, and read the Globe article. On the front cover of the magazine, there is a pic of the alleged forger being escorted by police. The man is hiding his face with his jacket because "he doesn't want anyone to know who he is". The Globe says that the pic is from June 22, 2012 and that the man had been arrested.

Hmmmmm. It isn't like Sheriff Joe to keep an arrest quiet.

Of course, the pic looked like a bazillion perp walk pics.

So, on the 17th, we will learn the identity of the "forger" and the "whistleblower".

Oh no! Shurrfff Joe is on to us! We're all going to be arrested and frogmarched! I DIDN'T JOIN SOROSCORP FOR THIS! they told me good pay, easy work, nothing about being hunted down by Joe Arpaio. We're doomed

If we learn any more about this or any other 'suspect', their names will not be revealed. The reason given will be for their 'own protection' but in reality it wil be because there is/are no suspect/s.

Look at the two pages of the new Globe article, particularly the last few paragraphs. Then read this post from March 24. Several of the same sentences, with one that was originally attributed to Arpaio now being attributed to the anonymous "source."

Now it would seem that the poster cut-and-pasted that text from somewhere, but I can't find where. I'm guessing a March 19, 2012 issue of the Globe which featured a cover Birther story on Obama and Arpaio. But I can't get at one. A scan seems to be posted here, but I'm finding it impossible to register at the site to view it (I think the capcha function is broken).

And if these two lines were copied from an earlier Globe article, then more of the quotes from the "source" might be copied as well. There was also a Globe article on March 7, if anyone happens to have it.

Good move on releasing the camper. I saw nothing birfer-ish about Informer's posts. Besides, we don't have much else to discuss regarding the impending press conference. We may as well entertain ourselves with speculation while we await having our breathing revoked on the 17th.

There's all sorts of "weasel words" and such... "White House insiders have learned", "says the source", "insiders say", etc.

It's pretty typical Globe sensationalism.

I have no plans to create a fourth one, but then again I didn't have any plan to make the third one: I feel that I was pretty much forced into it against my wishes because a few people simply were not going to be considerate of their fellow Fogbow members before posting about religion, despite a new rule and constant reminders.

I spent six hours or more on the forum yesterday, but I didn't get to read any posts about the birthers, because I was tied up in the drama all day long. I don't enjoy it; I resent it, to be honest. My unread Active Topics stretch onto the third page this morning, and I woke up to new drama about our new member Informer.

Today I'm going to read and post about the birthers. I'll get back to trying to handle all the drama tomorrow, maybe.

There seems to be a fair bit of laughing and joking going on about Joe's upcoming presser. Personally, I've passed the point where I can find any amusement from this.

Based on all the indications we've seen so far, Joe and his assholes are planning to go after the Hawai'i Department of Health. Given the recent verifications that the DoH has issued, that's the only route they have available for keeping their smear efforts alive.

I've met some of the people who work at the DoH. I know the reputation of others - like Dr. Onaka - fairly well. They are not politicians, and most are not political appointees. They are civil servants. Dr. Onaka, in particular, seems to be a very dedicated public servant. He takes his work very seriously and apparently does his job extremely well.

Dr. Onaka and his staff have done absolutely nothing to deserve the vilification that has already been thrown their way, and nothing to deserve the vilification that Arpaio, Zullo, Corsi, and the other maggots that crawl about the halls of power in Mariacopa County are going to send their way. They have done nothing that would warrant criticism, and nothing to voluntarily place themselves into the line of fire for the shit-slinging sheriff and his asslicking toadies.

And - lets not delude ourselves - despite the obvious misuse of the authority of the Mariacopa County Sheriff's Office, the asswipes will get away with it. There is little or nothing Hawai'i can do to stop this travesty, and even less they can do to get justice after the event.

I'm really not seeing humor here.

It is public knowledge he abuses his power to smear anyone who opposes him on a local, state, or federal level. HE or should I say Maricopa County, have been losing lawsuits and millions of taxpayer dollars due to his abuses of office. He has no legal standing in Hawai'i. He's a media whore. Well maybe it is time to show him there is such a thing as bad publicity. I were the HDOH I'd tell him, Zullo and Corsi to bugger off and then outline these cases he's lost, the disbarments of his two prosecutors, the testimony of former members of his office and CCP, the mistreatment of prisoners, but most importantly higlight the facts over and over that he has cost theTea Party taxpayers MILLIONS. The TPers may love him now, but they're fonder of THEIR money.

I agree with mikedunford that Arpaio willfully planning to falsely accuse the good people at HDOH - on Corsi's self-serving recommendation - is just beyond the pale and is fucking reprehensible.

I do not agree with borealis; the Arizona teabaggers have well-documented that Joe Arpaio and their righteous quest are far, far more important than their money, or that of the innocent taxpayers.
