Generally, the elections judges are paid $170 for doing the training and working on election day.

WTF is she talking about? There have ALWAYS been election judges for early voting in IL. I oughta know. We've signed up to do it the past several years. So now she has personally changed the election process in Illinois. Not!

Too late to sign up for this. The jobs are doled out by January. These are plum judging stints. Almost all the election judges fight over these. And they're usually given to judges with seniority and political connections.

I need to add one more item. Voters typically go to their township offices to vote. So you don't have additional polling locations open. There are 2-3 judges per location instead of the regular panel of 4-6. This reduces the number of slots open for aspiring judges. Sharon your'e getting called out on this one BIG TIME!

Maybe they did open extra polling places in Chicago, but they have always had judges to our understanding. I read through the tweet very quickly.

None of the court actions taken by Sharon Meroni/Patriot's Heart Network/Defend the Vote have resulted in any changes to Illinois elections and voting procedures (as a side note, in the Georgia election challenge threads, I very much enjoyed seeing Marooni included in the footnoted role call of failure ). Because Marooni is too lazy to do the necessary work to attempt to effect change through the Illinois General Assembly, she's had absolutely no influence there.

While it's entirely possible that some changes (even good and necessary ones) have been made to elections/voting procedures in Illinois, it's got nothing to do with Marooni or her "efforts." As usual, Marooni is flat out lying, and probably trying to steal the credit for someone else's work.

Take 44 minutes and listen to the audio of Marooni's "presentation" at the ISBOE (linked upthread). There is no way you can listen to that and not know absolutely that Marooni is nothing but a laughing stock. When I listened to that audio, although I laughed a good bit of the time, what I found most notable was the nearly palpable sense of the contempt that the ISBOE has for Marooni (and she for them). The difference, of course, is that Marooni's contempt for the ISBOE neither hurts the Board, nor matters at all to them. But their contempt for her means that she and any "organization" with which she visibly aligns herself is automatically useless in accomplishing either her stated goals or her underlying racist and unAmerican agenda.

I loved her meeting comment that she was there to save the state money. That was her biggest whopper yet! How much of the state's tiem and money and my tax dollars has she wasted? I ought to sue her to get it back....hmm I'd better quit reading and listening to all these nutters, I'm going nutters too.
