Grammaticality? Is that even a werd? You're dissin' mah Latin grammar with bad diction?

Yeah, my dad always said it, "Non carborundum Illegitimi." But when I told y'all to google it, I went and googled it. And Wikipedia has it t'other way around.

So who here really knows Latin grammar (with a fake Latin werd)?
If I remember correctly from HS Latin either can be used since word order is not determinate but word endings are. This makes for some flexibility when trying to do rhyming verse. But do not take this as gospel since my last latin class was in 1964.

 Fortasse hic possumus conperire magistrum linguae Romanorum - multi senes comites fori nostri sunt.

You will have discovered that Google Translate rarely offers even vaguely accurate translations for Latin, neither to nor from modern languages!

More bowzers respind to Jeffrey's thread than a heartfelt apology from a long-time bowzer. What's with that?

Honestly, I'm trying to think of what to say to it.

It happened because I hijacked the thread to a pleasant subject - Latin. :?

It was nice to see the apology, but the person who left the forum hasn't seen it because they left the forum. Maybe they'll check in one a these days. This is the problem with people leaving - I can't make them come back.

On the bright side, new people are still joining. We're not dead yet. As I said, I'm hoping to be here until at least the 2020 election. After that, we'll have to see where we are. Forums often fade away after a decade. My two favorites (from before Fogbow) since 2003 are long gone.

But we've already outlasted the Obama administration, the birther movement, and Honey Boo-Boo. They're gonna have to beat us to death with a stick, 'cuz this is a tough bunch.

I do hope TFB keeps going for a very long time. I live in deep red Florida and Fogbow is my refuge from insanity. And it is insanity out there. These people are feeling way good about blowing up our government - yay, Patriots and all that BS. They fly the US flag every day and are celebrating the destruction of the government.
