From the Taft Law Skewwl application:

I wonder how Orly answered this question?

Do you have regular Internet access and basic E-Mail skills?

=))

P.S. Just above that I see that Taft isn't interested in "jailhouse" lawyers, much. Too. Also.

Are you currently incarcerated?

Edit: Oops....I see that Butterfly already outed my two favorites! :-bd

The only question missing from the Taft Law Skool application that I would have bet was there is this:

"Do you have a pulse."

"Do you have regular Internet access and basic E-Mail skills?"

Could be phrased thusly ...

"Do you have a Yahoo and do you know how to use it?"

I don't see where the application asks for proof that the applicant has graduated from high school, junior college, a vocational school, or a college or university. The GPA is "estimated." The only request for a transcript is for applicants leaving other law schools. In other words, Orly did not have to prove to Taft that she held a D.D.S. or even a B.A. It is conceivable that she was admitted under the "Special Applicants" provision. I remain curious how she could have earned a D.D.S. from a dental school that does not (at least now) award that degree. Another rumor that she could easily put to rest.

A couple of the comment there are pretty disgusting, even when written to/about Orly. I sure as hell hope no one who posts here had ANYTHING to do with them.

Orly. Don’t let these rulings get you down. I fear that you will stick a gun in your mouth and blow the back of your head off. Rather than do that, shoot me an email. I can get you some good narcotics to overdose on. If you’re going to kill yourself, do it clean. You may want to have an open casket funeral.

Orly is in no way discouraged, the truth will always eventually come out.

I am sure Obama will be glad to help you off yourself via obamacare. If you are in anyway compromised from a health perspective, let Obama know and he will send you free, all the pills you need to send your useless self to the judgment seat where, just before you are banished to outer darkness all truth will be revealed to you. At that point God will tell you what a tool you have been and how you have wasted the precious gift of life He gave you. The talents you have wasted will be given to others and you will spend eternity in the inferno with Obama, the definition of hell.

Orly's horrid and all, but suggesting she should commit suicide - not to mention giving her ideas on how to go about doing it - is over the line, as far as I'm concerned.

Tollie - She will never put any of those rumors to rest. This is not, after all, about her.

Oh. Wait.

Yes, it's over the line. And it trashes up the joint to even have it repeated here. But why would we say something like that?

I found this sentence at the link you posted. "As can be seen from our Graduate Survey Results, over 90% of graduates from the Juris Doctor Program who responded to the survey believe they are competent attorneys."

If Taft asked only Levy and Taitz wouldn't the total be 125%?

My current Fantasy Fairy Tale Dream scenario is that someone at Taft realizes that this crazy Russian lady they've been laughing at on TV for the last couple years is not only a Taft alumni, but that's she's included on the "Partial List of Alumni" that posted on Taft's webpage. When he goes to work the next day, he quickly removes her name from the list, wanting to try and avoid any future identification of her with their fine institution. Yet, he's not sure that's really enough. He manages to get a group of college Deans and Administrators and, after reviewing a few of Orly's briefs, realizes that they could EASILY claim that the poor quality writing, more than questionable tactics, disregard for the Bench and other such factors make it clear that there's no way the person who wrote those briefs was the same person who wrote Taitz' essays for Taft's tests, and as such, they strip her of her degree. Once the California State Bar learns that Orly no longer has a Juris Doctorate degree, they immediately revoke her membership, and just because this is my damn Fantasy Fairy Tale Dream, the judges she's appeared before each issue sanctions against her for $100,000 per "case" for having fraudulently wasted the courts time. The fact that there's really no more evidence that she cheated to get her degree than there is that Obama isn't a Natural-Born Citizen and fully eligible to be President is just the nice schadenfreude cherry on top of the FFTD sundae. :D

Yes, it's over the line. And it trashes up the joint to even have it repeated here. But why would we say something like that?

If I'm scolding anyone it's whomever wrote the posts. If they weren't written by anyone here (and my basic presumption is that they weren't) then I'm not scolding anyone here.

A lot of material that's similarly despicable, disgusting and inappropriate, but which is written by birthers in reference to Obama, his family or us, gets copied over here where we rightfully condemn it. The only difference with these posts is that they're not aimed at us but at a birther, and that should be no more acceptable than it is when material like that is aimed at Obama/obots. I saw no reason to treat it any differently than if those comments had been aimed at us.

Edit: The last paragraph applies to Pluto as well. I have to say, though, that I'm find it a bit amusing that - given how neither of you can stand anything I might say about civility or online behaviour - apparently neither of you has put me on ignore yet. Not that I, like, want you to or anything, but you both react so strongly I just find it a bit of a surprise.

In any event, I've now said everything I think I need to about that particular post.

In general, you don't agree with me or my judgment in anything that is related to civility on the board, and that's fine - you're certainly entitled to have and express it, just as I am mine. I wanted to answer your questions about why I did what I did, and now that I have, I think we just need to agree to disagree as neither of us will convince the other of much of anything on this point.

I found that to be absolutely hilarious! Given what we've seen of Orly's "beliefs" I have to wonder if all their graduates are that delusional about their abilities, too

I'd have to repeat the gist of the "stuff" you brought over here to say "I hope this wasn't any of us" and I don't see the point of that as apparently it's all of the same bunch of grapes to you. Carry on as you'd like.

This is tangentally meaningful; an actual case of Social Security fraud.

Quote:
Ore. woman sentenced for Social Security fraud

After her father disappeared, a Cottage Grove woman collected his Social Security and federal retirement benefits for a quarter of a century, the government says. Then last year, the Social Security Administration tried to schedule a face-to-face interview with the man, and her scheme unraveled.

On Tuesday, 63-year-old Martha Ann McRae was sentenced to 18 months in prison and ordered to pay $848,000 in restitution once she's released.

She's required to pay at least $200 a month for what she stole in Social Security, civil service and military pension benefits, the Register Guard ( http://bit.ly/qRn7Nt) reported. At the minimum amount, that would mean three and a half centuries of payments.

Perhaps, but it rates a big fat zero on the voyeur scale.
