I'm sure it will come as no surprise to anyone that Orly has apparently missed another FEC deadline. She was supposed to file a quarterly report by July 15 but it isn't on the FEC website yet.

UCLA Library Campaign Literature Archive June 8, 2010 Election

Gray, Gabriella gsgray@library.ucla.edu
The Charles E. Young Research Library at UCLA maintains an online collection of candidate and ballot measure web sites for the use of current and future scholars. We have included your campaign web site in this collection, the UCLA Online Campaign Literature Archive.

Since the 1920’s our department has been collecting campaign materials distributed by campaigns for president, California U.S. Senate seats, southern California U.S. congressional offices, California state-wide offices and ballot measures, and local Los Angeles city- and county-wide offices and ballot measures. This collection is used by students, faculty, and researchers for historical research. We continue to collect and maintain these print campaign literature files and have begun scanning them into digital format. But with the advent of the Internet much, and often more, of the same types of campaign literature is now distributed via Internet web sites. And, like the paper versions, once the election is over these valuable primary resources usually disappear and are lost.

The goal of our project is to download and save a copy of each campaign web site at a specific point in time so that the contents will be preserved for the use of future researchers. These files, along with scanned images of printed material, are placed on the UCLA Library web server. You can view our work to date at the following URL:

Too bad UCLA neglected to tell her that her web site will be in the category of "Worst Campaign Web Sites In History" and to serve as a warning to all future potential office holders to "DON'T DO THIS IF YOU WANT TO WIN!"

I wonder if she noticed that it's not like her site has been specially chosen or anything, but that they're trying to archive ALL campaign websites. I know how she likes to feel special, but, as always, she's not.

Taitz shouldn't get too excited. To be eligible to be archived by UCLA the candidate must (1) run and (2) operate a campaign website.

Immortality is reserved elsewhere for the worst lawyer in the history of the Universe.

As of today, she still hasn't filed the report due 7/15 with the FEC. She is too busy as a researcher these days to be on time with stuff like that for the silly people who follow rules.

I wonder if this time, with the $280K loan to her campaign, she will be nailed for being late. Sure hope so.

Nah, not crazy - their letter says their goal is to keep a record of every campaign site, so they didn't pick her site out specifically. It's just another campaign site being archived alongside the rest. That, to me, is what's funny about it - you just KNOW Orly thinks this is some kind of special honour or something, but it's not

There are 1850 political web sites besides hers in that archive. And the first one in the archive is for Lt Governor Gray Davis in his 1998 race for governor.

Edit: to add info on what the first entry was

Here's a guy Orly should get in touch with if she wants someone to commiserate with about having your party refuse to support you in an election! It should ALSO show her that parties aren't obligated to support candidates running under their name. I mean, if they don't have to support the actual Senate nominee, then they sure as hell don't have to support some litigious bitch intent on destroying our country no matter HOW good she thinks her poll scores are:

Quote:
What a mess. Rachel Maddow made the apt comparison of what just happened in Tennessee to what we saw in South Carolina, when the Democrats found themselves with an unknown candidate winning the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate back in 2008, named Alvin Greene. Here we go again with the nomination of Mark Clayton.

Quote:
Democrats disavow their own Senate nominee in Tennessee:

The Tennessee Democratic Party has disavowed its own nominee running against Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) for being a member of a "known hate group," it said Friday.

"Mark Clayton is associated with a known hate group in Washington D.C. and the Tennessee Democratic Party disavows his candidacy, will not do anything to promote or support him in any way, and urges Democrats to write in a candidate of their choice in November," the party said in a statement. "Many Democrats in Tennessee knew nothing about any of the candidates in the race, so they voted for the person at the top of the ticket. Unfortunately, none of the other Democratic candidates were able to run the race needed to gain statewide visibility or support."

The result is a sign of how weakened Democrats have become in the state. Six years ago, Rep. Harold Ford (D-Tenn.) nearly beat Corker, and heading into the last election they held the governorship and five of the state's nine House seats.

Here's more from Mother Jones:

Quote:
Dems Nominate Anti-Gay Conspiracy Theorist for Senate:

Mark Clayton believes the federal government is building a massive, four-football-field wide superhighway from Mexico City to Toronto as part of a secret plot to establish a new North American Union that will bring an end to America as we know it. On Thursday, he became the Tennessee Democrats' nominee for US Senate.

Clayton, an anti-gay-marriage activist and flooring installer with a penchant for fringe conspiracy theories, finished on top of a crowded primary field in the race to take on GOP Sen. Bob Corker this fall. He earned 26 percent of the vote despite raising no money and listing the wrong opponent on his campaign website. The site still reads, "DEDICATED TO THE DEFEAT OF NEO-CONSERVATIVE LAMAR ALEXANDER," whom Clayton tried to challenge in 2008. (That year, he didn't earn the Democratic nomination.)

On his issues page, Clayton sounds more like a member of the John Birch Society than a rank-and-file Democrat. He says he's against national ID cards, the North American Union, and the "NAFTA superhighway," a nonexistent proposal that's become a rallying cry in the far-right fever swamps. Elsewhere, he warns of an encroaching "godless new world order" and suggests that Americans who speak out against government policies could some day be placed in "a bone-crushing prison camp similar to the one Alexander Solzhenitsyn was sent or to one of FEMA's prison camps." (There are no FEMA prison camps.) Read on...

(Greenies note: While the overall quote is more than 4 paragraphs, only the first paragraph is from the source of the overall article (Crooks & Liars) the rest of it is material THEY quoted for their article, and both of those quotes are 3 paragraphs each, so no one source is being quoted over the limit - I hope that's ok!!!)

If they let her skate this time, I'm gonna be really, really disappointed. But I think she has figured out that these are empty threats. I'm hoping that her loan to her campaign being sizable will trigger some real scrutiny this time. But don't hold out a lot of hope.

As of today, still no Campaign report at the FEC, despite the threatening letter. OrLena is too busy filing explosive new evidence to open dead cases, I guess.

I hope she gets nailed but good for this one, now a month late! Image

Orly has finally submitted her July FEC report.

The dead lady in Chicago who donated $2500 is listed as having received a disbursement valued at $2500 for "in-kind-advertising." :-?

I would guess that would be the Washington Times ad? If so, the FEC oughta be told that the lady is DEAD. Oh gosh, that might not be good for Lena.
