No wonder Orly's Yahoo keeps soliciting money from all over the world.

Yes. She will pull the curtain closed on election day and face Dianne Feinstein's name on the ballot sheet.

If she votes. Are illegal immigrants eligible to vote?

Yes, it's a mess. Instead of "your team will", I saw "your teen will" and other nonsense. If they can't even proofread their website, what will the FEC reports look like? To paraphrase Mary J. Blige, Orly can do bad all by herself.

One of my favorite occasional segments on Rachel's show is the one where she takes campaign print ads from all kinds of politicians and gpolitical groups and shows that the footage of their "team" or "supporters" is almost always stock footage. You can find the same people in exactly the same poses supporting his opponent, or a cause that politician is against.

Bonamigo's site has that effect on me. "Look at my bright, shiny, diverse team," the home page says. "Women, Asians, the best and the brightest, all working for you."

I wish I had facial recognition software to look for these images elsewhere.

I'm not a big fan of advertising in the first place and I really hate misleading or outright lying ads. I took a psychology class my senior year in high school. Our teacher would bring in reels and reels of commercials he got from the local station where his wife worked and we would go through each one looking for the lies, the manipulative moments and, in some cases, subliminal messages. I've never forgotten the tricks.

The sad thing is that advertising/marketing and public relations agencies are where most psychology majors end up. Who's running all those focus groups and advising on how to get folks to act a certain way when it does not benefit them but whoever is paying for the ads.

I have a very large stack of political mailers down by my mailbox that I no more than glance at. I think most candidates are wasting their money on a lot of these things. I mostly go by what I know about them from their records, who supports them and what's in the voters' booklet. The mailers go right into recycling. Some of them are last minute hit pieces that ought to be outlawed for the outright gross smears. I tend to let the candidate know how I feel about those and actively campaign against them. I wish I could do more.

So Martinez was the Executive Director of the L.A. County GOP. In 2006.

LAGOP's site doesn't mention him. I wonder how he went from his previous position to recommending former hair stylists to Taitz.

The LAGOP's message (dated January 2011) from the chairman (a woman) is about the "success" of the GOP nominee in the special election in the 38th congressional district.

The republican candidate came in second, narrowly edging out Debra Bowen (California's [usurping] Secretary of State). (The republican candidate lost in the runoff election.)

It also says it's a conserative consulting firm.

"We are thee specialists"

That's just on the first page of the site.

What a standard to aim for.

And Taitz did not read the comments to the article she posted; there the article's author has written:
Quote:
I think Taitz is nutty, but I have been curious to see if the Republican party takes her seriously. On the one hand, her running as the nominee should allow an easy win for Feinstein. On the other hand, elections can be unpredictable (think Jesse Ventura in MN - I was there!) and the idea of Taitz in the Senate is truly disturbing!

Quote:
She is something, that is for sure.

Quote:
I think she is a bad joke and a nut, but she concerns me a bit. Not because I think she could ever win (in California? Not likely), but because she feeds a racism and hatred that I do think is quite potentially dangerous. I like Feinstein and I want to see her re-elected. No, don't think she's vulnerable to Taitz at all. Is she vulnerable to the right candidate? Hmmm, I'm not sure. But surely not to Orly. I find Taitz humorous, disgusting and frightening all at the same time!

The article itself notes:
Quote:
The Daily Caller contacted the California Republican Party for a comment on Orly's plans, but they did not respond with a comment.

Update

Thank you Mr. Roger Newman for your donation of $50 for “Orly Taitz for Senate 2012″. Since I started the campaign a few days ago, I collected $825. I need to collect additional $2,595 towards $3,420 registration fee in order to be a registered candidate for Senate on the ballot .

At this time donations towards “Orly Taitz for US Senate 2012″ are more urgent″

In a month the Chaleria has gotten $825. At this rate she'll have collected enough money by the end of 2012 to pay her filing fee and her pamphlet statement. Vanity campaign anyone?

I used Tin Eye to do a search and it came up with 116 matches. I didn't look at all of them. It says the link expires in 72 hours (since images change frequently, apparently) but you should be able to check them out at http://www.tineye.com/search/5f17a82cee ... 913fa16e65 through the weekend.

Someone should have told her that you can do those on the internet. I know; I have four different FCC licenses.
