That's not what they told her at the Elections Committee of Orange County.

That would be the pink form.

It's a bit ambiguous but what is clear is that the "voluntary expenditure limits" she's signed up for don't apply to federal elections.

The Butterfly Lady was referring to one of Orly's most amazing blunders -- the time she tried to take out nomination papers for Secy. of State at an LGBT lobbying group.

And didn't realize it until after she published about how frustrating it was that they were closed when she got there and weren't answering their phones.

She eventually did learn that the Secy. of State ... the job she was trying to win ... is in charge of elections in the great state of California.

That one was a classic, though. You should have seen the birfoons trying to make excuses for her! \:D/

OMG! That was definitely one of my favorites. =))

I hope Addy adds it to her list.

I fully support your run for Senate Orly. I’m sick of these fraud, criminals running for Congress to only stuff their own pockets – Feinstein, Rangle, Pelosi, Reid, etc. – while they destroy our country and our Constitution.

I have it on Good Authority that Taitz's application to the California Secretary of State to run for Diane Feinstein's senate seat has been REJECTED!

I suspect the rejection letter will be published on Jack's Scribd site soon. Gee. I wonder what the reason was. And I wonder if Taitz will disclose the rejection to her follower (Pambly Barnett). Probably not. It's pretty embarrassing.

Mr. Good Authority supplied you with accurate information.

The Rejection Letter (along with instructions to Orly).

Should we help her out and tell her that she could have obtained the proper form at The Election Committee of the County of Orange?

With all the Birfing, I am surprised she has the time to treat anyone. I suspect she hires a couple of Dental School recent grads and "supervises" the work/clinic. There were a couple suits awhile back, but she represented herself with predictable results.

What a shame. Orly would have made a wonderful secretary of state and now the de facto secretary of state has conspired to block her from becoming senator.

With such a great personage as Orly involved, wouldn't you think that SoS Bowen should have replied personally over her own signature instead of delegating this rejection for a picky technicality to one of her little people?

That's amusing. One year, in a last-minute rush to pick up some CLE credits, I took a training course for notaries in PA, because it was offered at a convenient place and time.

If one ever wants to spend a relaxing day with secretaries for auto dealers being told over and over not to practice law, I highly recommend it.

I decided not to apply, but will probably get around to sending my assistant some day.

So, Orly -- how's the campaign going?

Any more letters from the CA Secretary of State rejecting your irrelevant papers?

Are you going to be able to run the campaign while stomping through bar associations and courts, extirpating traitors and thugs?

She's going to wrap up that race in a few months in Orange County Superior Court. And then be installed as SoS. I'm asking about her next successful race, the one against DiFi.

Not sure if this has been covered anywhere else:

ORLY RUNNING FOR SENATE?

Choice tidbits:

How is she qualified?
"I think I do have a chance specifically because I do speak Spanish and I speak Hebrew," Taitz told The Bee after attending a town hall-style event on Latino issues at the California Republican Party...

Why will she run?
Taitz said a run was also appealing because it would "give me a platform to talk about the issues that corrupt establishment... are refusing to talk about."

She learned from Christine O'Donnell (and her own failed run for public office in California), it's another way to get crazy backers...

It appears that the linked blog post was from last night? It's hard to tell. Anyway, I liked these paragraphs:

Quote:
While support for reelecting Feinstein has fallen in recent polls, a serious Republican challenger has yet to emerge. Taitz, who has made headlines for her effort to promote a widely disproved theory that President Barack Obama was not born in the United States and therefore is not eligible to serve as commander in chief, would not likely generate the campaign funding or widespread appeal needed to launch a viable bid.

****

The Irvine dentist and attorney won roughly 500,000 votes in her failed 2010 bid to be the GOP's pick to serve as the state's top elections official. She lost to Republican businessman Damon Dunn by more than 50 percentage points. =))

We covered this a while ago, after Taitz first announced. She also breathlessly reported on her website that she had registered her candidacy with the secretary of state's office. Soon thereafter we obtained and Jack Ryan published a copy of the rejection letter from the SoS, since candidates are required to register only for state offices, not federal offices.

Another fail, but not as good as going to the LBGT HQs in Orange County in the mistaken belief it's the Orange County office of the SoS.

Combine that Spanish language proficiency with an anti-immigration platform and you're practically guaranteed to corner the Latino vote!
