She may accumulate more votes, but the basic percentages don't change. She may get 100,000 numbnutters voting for her, but it still puts her in 5th place (4th among pugs). There aren't enough votes in the state left to count that would change the percentage. When a box of ballots are counted - Orly only gets 3.1% (statewide) out of that batch with the rest split according to the percentage.

She lost and will only continue to lose more (if that is possible) over the next couple of days.
Can we say BRUNT TOAST??? I knew we could.

For some reason Lena thinks that coming in at a very distant 4th is a victory. 5th just isn't good enough. I dunno. Go figure.

Oh... wait... I get it! Coming in 4th means she has one less person to sue.

Yabbut - Orly has lots of folks with less votes than her that "stole her vote". If all of those folks who voted for others had voted for Orly....... =)) =)) =)) =))

Your welcome!

I am usually up until about 3 am (sometimes until 5-6am :( ). I've been that way all my life. But I love catching up on all the posts. Finding Fogbow has made having insomnia a lot less depressing! :D

My brother has had to deal with insomnia for years - some nights not so bad, some nights really awful. Like you, what really helps when he just can't sleep is something he can truly enjoy obsessing on.

She cannot possibly win as I explain here

Emken is beyond her reach and even Hughes requires incredible percentages of the remaining votes.

So she's surpassed Orly's SoS Primary total of 508,455 votes.

I wonder if a new Orlyism will be that primary vote totals should be cumulative?

Unhinged Lena Says:
Citizens, who are going to county manual count, have to do the following:
1. demand to know the total of votes for every precinct. This helps to identify precincts, where votes where not counted, ballots being thrown away or bogus ballots added
2. demand verification that the people, who cast votes, are US citizens and eligible to vote. there is evidence of non citizens casting votes
3. demand verification that the ballots were updates and those do not belong to deceased individuals, or ones who moved out of state or ones who are voting in other states or were convicted of felonies and cannot vote.

I was an observer in a recount many years ago (Former Calif. Assembly Leader Richard Katz lost to Richard Alarcon for State Senate by 38 votes, IIRC). It is grueling work for a volunteer, just exhausting.

Orly still seems to be fantasizing that she can pull out a victory because the voting was corrupt of course, a new side of nutty but certainly not unexpected.

Her number 1 makes no sense: What will finding out the number of votes by precinct -- which is very available the night of the election but no one will be at any registrar's to pull that data right away, too much to do -- tell anything? Plus, in California, the results are not available for the absentee ballots by precinct. So, Orly might be able to find out that in my precinct, 400 people went to the polls and she got 12 votes in that precinct. Another 400 may have voted absentee since my precinct is usually at the 50 percent level, with over 30 percent permanent absentee voters. Those votes go into a big County pool only! She will know nothing from this exercise.

Her number 3 is just silly; the ballots being counted now are the ones that came in on Monday and Tuesday as absentee and the Provisional ballots for new registered voters missing from the rolls, people who went to the wrong precinct, etc. And there aren't another million. Orly Prediction Alert: When they get to the end, Orly is going to calculate how many ballots are missing from her 1.5 million estimate!

But what irks me more than anything is this idea in number 2: Demand verification of the people who cast votes? In Orly's world, a secret ballot isn't secret. Are we all, in any given precinct that Orly picks, expected to be frog-marched to some location where our "Papers" will be checked? Egads, she is one sick chick!

btw, for those who don't already know this: For all the mention of Chavez and voting machines, we vote by paper ballot in California. Only the counting is done by electronic machine. All the paper ballots stick around, even after certification. That means Orly's fantasy can go on, and on, unfortunately.

I think this is more entertaining than her birtherism because in this case it is much more personal for her and thus she goes even more crazy. Hand over the popcorn.

She may be talking about the Postcanvass Risk-limiting Audit Pilot Program.

It's an electoral audit just to ensure the results are statistically unlikely to change should there be a recount. It would tend to show any statistical anomalies in the voting by manually counting a small but statistically significant portion of the votes.

Needless to say, it afford the Nitrous Queen no hopes whatsoever.
