I see no indication that Sugar Magnolia would like to be put on grits, but hey - to each their own, I suppose.

Sugar on grits is blasphemy! Salt, pepper and butter are the only acceptable toppings. Maybe some cheese and garlic, but that's it. Savory all the way.

And Zeke, if a "Southern" girl put you onto sugar on your grits, she was obviously either a transplant or a Yankee in disguise.

G.R.I.T.S. = Girls Raised In The South. At least that's what the t-shirts in every Cracker Barrel and truck stop around here claim.

I guess that beats a murky intent.

This would all make sense if "evidence" = "stuff you download from the internet."

Anyone got a copy of Black's Law Dictionary?

Not you, Lena. I know you don't.

I've just opened this forum in Illustrator, and it's clearly a forgery.

Where's the original, Foggy?

Dude! Be careful - suggesting the use of sugar on grits is fightin' words in some parts.

Chili should have beans in it, and in fact, can be made without meat.

EDIT: Note. This was supposed to be so obvious a troll post that nobody would respond to it.

Sorry for the threadjack.

If it has beans in it, it's not chili. It's bean stew. Beans should be cooked and added ON THE SIDE for the diner to add as they see fit.

Chili Appreciation Society International states in their rules for CASI-sanctioned cookoffs

Quote:
2. NO FILLERS IN CHILI - Beans, macaroni, rice, hominy, or other similar ingredients are not permitted.

Rule A(2), Page 1, CASI Rules 2011-2014

International Chili Society states

Quote:
"1. Traditional Red Chili is defined by the International Chili Society as any kind of meat or combination of meats, cooked with red chili peppers, various spices and other ingredients, with the exception of BEANS and PASTA which are strictly forbidden."

Chili does not have beans in it.

I cannot accept definitions of an "international" society regarding Amurican Coosine.

That's like letting the IOC define the rules of basketball, or the so-called "American League" allowing designated hitters.

Ah, bullshit. Who died and made them the chili gods?

And anyway, I have a can right here that says Chili con Carne and, you know what con Carne means? With meat! So why would you have a chili with meat, if you didn't have one without meat?

You can't fool me. I been eating chili longer than those societies have been around.

Well, the International Chili Society has been around since 1967, so they're a year younger than I am. The Chili Appreciation Society (later the Chili Appreciation Society International) was founded in 1951

One of the earliest known written chili recipes dates back to the mid 1800's. No beans in that recipe.

There's also a 1937 recipe from the San Antonio "Chili Queens". No beans there either.

It were a born and raised Southern Girl, Sugar M. Ahhh swear! Right down on I-20 ... three years ago. Ahhh swear! She said sugar. Yes, it was at a Cracker Barrel, too. If another Southern Girl can personally introduce me to butter and salt and pepper, I might convert. If a transplanted girl tell me no grits, I'll do no grits. I'm easy. Real easy.

FWIW, when I saw the site up, I went straight to the AFM thread and realized I couldn't post. So I logged off and than signed back in and VOILA! no problem.

I also have no idea whether this is the Appellant's opening brief or a response brief.
More will be revealed, I reckon.
