Actually Stern, I seriously doubt that such a thing as “helping” Orly is even possible. You may as well try to help my dogs understand why they shouldn’t bother chasing squirrels. The dogs are too fat and old and one of them only has 3 legs, and the squirrels are much to fast and they can climb trees in a flash. It’s a hopeless quest. You can try really hard to explain all this to them, but the minute they see a squirrel all of your efforts will fly right out the doggie door!

Ura is a well worked urban legend.

My GG Grandfather and his brother married the tavern keeper's daughters. Thomas Hogg must have had some lovely daughters.

Friend,

President Obama is right.

He has spent the last few weeks talking about a “war on women” that is taking place across America. We agree there’s been a war on women.

More women have struggled to find work under President Obama’s watch than at any time in recorded history. We hear far too little about it, but women have been among the hardest hit by the Obama economy.

Women account for 92% of all job losses since Barack Obama took office. :^o Yes, you read that right. Don’t be fooled — this is the real war on women. Check out these stunning facts about women and the Obama economy in the image below.

American women deserve better — much better.

Thanks.

Mitt Romney's spokesperson? Mittens made the same ridiculous claim the other day and his campaign has not been able to back it up. This is going to be an interesting election.

Sorry hun, saying that over and over isn't going to convince anyone. The self-hating women (Susan B. Anthony List ilk, etc) of the extreme right might be suckers, but the majority of women in the US aren't stupid and know what's going on.

That 92% figure is so exaggerated that it makes me wonder it's not intentional.

From everything I have read or heard on the matter, women have not been 'hit' by job losses in the great recession as hard as the men have.

Here's the last report from the BLS:

http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm

Quote:
Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rates for adult men
(7.6 percent), adult women (7.4 percent), teenagers (25.0 percent), whites
(7.3 percent), blacks (14.0 percent), and Hispanics (10.3 percent) showed
little or no change in March. The jobless rate for Asians was 6.2 percent,
not seasonally adjusted. (See tables A-1, A-2,and A-3.)

In the 2008 election, someone had a best-seller collection of the Lies of Sarah Palin. Rachel Maddow has a pretty good start on a series on the Lies of Mitt Romney. By the time we get to November, it maybe the Encyclopedia of the Lies of Mitt Romney. He just cannot help himself. They just roll out one after the other.

Yes, thanks, that's who I was thinking of. Santorum was getting a good start for his own list with "Don't euthanize me" bracelets worn by old people in the Netherlands and his claim that history is almost extinct as a subject taught in California public universities. The whoppers than people will swallow amaze me.

I was not able to follow the arguments in that letter demanding a correction.

It more of the tactic of attaching the fallout from the recession on Obama as the recession rolled on after his taking office while giving him zero credit for the recovery. They want to etch-a-sketch out everyone's memory of all the stuff from previous administrations that precipitated the greatest economic crisis since the 30's.

As for Katie Packer-Gage, here's a link to a run down on Romney's campaign top staff members:

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2012 ... candidate/

Quote:
Katie Packer Gage: Another veteran from Mr. Romney’s gubernatorial campaign, Ms. Gage is the deputy campaign manager for Mr. Romney’s 2012 bid. She runs the campaign’s grass-roots organization efforts and helps devise the on-the-ground targeting. The best parallel to Mr. Obama’s campaign may be to Jeremy Bird, Mr. Obama’s field director.

When RWNJ's refer to the "lame stream media" aren't they are really referring news divisions? I mean they aren't really complaining about Dancing with the Stars or the NYT's style section.

NBC might be having problem with its entertainment shows but it's news' show was the highest ranked of the ABC, CBS and NBC. From the article Orly links to:
Quote:
NBC's "Nightly News" topped the evening newscasts with an average of 7.9 million viewers(5.4, 11). ABC's "World News" was second with 6.8 million (4.7, 10) and the "CBS Evening News" had 5.8 million viewers (4.0, 8).

YAE of Orly having no idea of what she is linking to.

Time for a vote of non confidence to “leaders” collaborating with the usurper Obama and committing treason

Posted on | April 12, 2012 | No Comments

Recently 3,000 citizens of AZ submitted a petition to the state legislature to issue a declaration directing the Secretary of State Ken Bennett to demand original identification papers from Obama in light of findings of forgery. Corrupt “leaders” of both houses killed the declaration even though majority of the members of the legislature were for it.

It is time for the state legislature in AZ, other states and the US Congress to vote non confidence and throw those “leaders” out of leadership positions.

In due time we will try them for aiding and abetting the usurpation of the US Presidency.

At this time, we just need to throw scoundrels out of the leadership positions and pass important declarations

Even if that's true, at least some members would have been willing to seem to be "for" it (to pander to their base) only if secure in the knowledge that the leaders would kill it, so they would not be held accountable for a batshit vote.

Political IQ, Orly doesn't haz one.

No word yet on the partridge in a pear tree. =))

Although to date there has been no reliable, independent polling published, the Orange County Register has reported that a survey of Republican voters by other GOP wannabes showed Taitz running first among challengers, with 19 percent.

Who is this Katie Packer Gage person?

A Romney aide - his Deputy Campaign Mgr. Very experienced top-level GOP insider, money launderer, dirty trickster, and campaign operative. She's the one who directed the RW secret PACmen to carpet bomb Santorum and Gingrich.

Katie is the master organizer who builds and mobilizes political organizations for clients. She participated in her first political campaign in the fall of 1988 as a Missouri college student working to elect then Vice President George Bush. Since then she has worked on campaigns at every level from State Representative to Presidential.

After working on many state legislative campaigns in Michigan, Katie served as the Deputy State Director for the Dole for President Campaign in 1996. Following that, she was Director of the Michigan Senate Majority Communications Office as well as Executive Director of the Senate Republican Campaign Committee when Republicans saw historic gains in their majority.

Katie has worked as a Senior Aide to U.S. Senator Spence Abraham (R-MI) first on Capitol Hill and then as Deputy Campaign Manager of his 2000 campaign. At the state level, Katie was also Chief of Staff to Michigan Lt. Governor Dick Posthumus, going on to manage the 2002 Posthumus for Governor   campaign in Michigan. (LOL !! ...was that campaign DOA ?? I know...shouldn't laugh at a person's name...sure wish he had decided to run for President !! maybe 2016.....)

In addition, Katie spent two years working at the U.S. Department of Energy as a senior advisor to the Secretary on issues related to Science, Fossil Energy as well as Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.

Most recently, Katie worked as the senior strategist for the successful Michigan campaign for Governor Mitt Romney.
