This is that gathering that Rudy over at LoneStar1776 is putting together. Says he did it at the behest of Pasture Manning.

he hasn't placed any update videos on YouTube, so who knows how many people will be there.

So.. when is it?

Dallasite? Wintermute? Wanna take a road trip? :-bd

But eventually most of these construction cases end up in the OC's special "complex litigation" department. If you think Orly Taitz is a legal wiz, wait until you see her in that venue.

It sounds to me that if the contractor is opting for the cross-complaint route, there may be some liability here. I assume they are also arguing there isn't liability, but dragging in subcontractors would seem to be the kind of move that would needlessly drive up litigation costs unless there is something there.

It seems to be SOP here, leading to the creation of the complex lit department.

Same here.

I've been involved in discovery in many, many such suits here and it is the very rare exception that the general does not bring in all the subs.

Great for a SECR. :D

If it's taken them several attempts to figure out who has or hasn't been served, it's a good bet that Orly is doing some of the legal work.

God help the lawyer for the General Contractor. If I were in that position, I'd be drowning her in discovery. :P

No, the multiple cross-defendants brought in by the general contractor create the service issues. Some have been served, some have answered, some have defaulted. Until the dust settles on all that, the case management hearing won't accomplish much.

Well, his video says May 24, but the web site says May 26. It's at Fair Park Bible Fellowship Church, 1321 Rowan Dallas, Texas. Also supposedly speaking are "Alfred Adask, Pastor Dr. Wiley S. Drake, Pastor Dr. James David Manning."

But of course, everyone is coming solely to hear Orly mispronounce and malaprop.

Although I do not have proof, I suspect all attendees are "delegates," i.e., pay to play.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. She will have some support there. This group will not go zombie-like for establishment-endorsed Emken, is my prediction. Orly will have her supporters amongst them, most certainly. We can make a dollar bet on it, if you are convinced she has no chance of any support, I'm that sure that she will have some.

This would require Taitz moving to another state.

Agreed.

But I do get a nice, warm feeling thinking about how the California Republicans might actually have to put some work into the primary to select the opponent to be crushed in November, or risk the embarrassment of having Orly's name recognition in the open primary lead to her being the party's very public standard bearer.

Her chances of being endorsed by the CRA are much better than zero.

Among California Republicans, a CRA endorsement has some meaning. It is a volunteer organization that has been around a long time and has an organizational structure that actually works, unlike that of the official state party.

You don't buy a seat as a delegate at a CRA convention, you are elected after demonstrating that you've got some GOP street cred.

I know a delegate fairly well. He is an Orly supporter. There are others. The CRA will hear her out and more than a few delegates will vote to endorse her.

What would be the effects of a CRA endorsement on the chances of her getting on the ballot?

She's on the ballot for the primary along with 26 others.

That depends on how much money she's willing to spend publicizing that endorsement to the Republicans that value it.

I think somebody pointed out on another thread that she's reported about $3800 in campaign contributions. With that and her usual knack for producing graphically beautiful documents, I'm sure she can come up with a mailer that will be a huge success!

It seems to me that the other Republicans ought to start campaigning seriously for second place in the primary. Taitz' name recognition could easily land her that spot. She's out there, she's speaking to Republican women's groups and tea parties and everywhere someone will open the door. What are the rest of them doing? Nothing as far as I can see. The California GOP is about to be tied to Orly's stake and they seem unwilling to do anything about that.

The party is already on life support here. This ought to finish them off.

A death threat? You decide.
