Both of the statistics extensions I tried broked the board. There won't be any new stats available, unfortunately.

However, there are a few that do pertain to you:

Still no "like" button, the entire phpBB community expresses its most very sincerest regrets and apologies and stuff.
If we did have a "like" button, I'd use it on your post to say thanks for all you do, Foggy!!! :bighug: :lovestruck:

Thanks Foggy. I wondered what was going on with the forum earlier.

The auto save feature is a good addition. I can't figure out what I would ever use the notes extension to do?

Good question. Excellent question. That there is a heck of a question. Thanks for the question.

Somebody is gonna come along and tell us. Or, if nobody uses it, I can zap it. On the bright side, it hasn't broked the forum. I wish I could say that about some other extensions I tried.

When you gets The Heimers, like me, you might be able to put the notes to good use. I can't remember why.

The auto-save thing makes my screen jump up and down every time it saves.

Which board style are you using? And what kind of device?

The hot latte or whatever it's called on my desktop. Not a big deal, just sort of visually irritating.

And am I the only one getting huge empty gaps in posts? Sometimes I have to scroll halfway down the page to see the actual comment after someone posts an image.

I see that from time to time. Here on my desktop as well as on my phone. I use IE on the desktop and Firefox on the iPhone. Prosilver plus.

Example: Gavin Seim post number 1056

I occasionally see the empty gaps; it is usually when the poster embeds a video.

3) Quoted Images as Thumbnails - when you quote someone's post this should shrink any graphics in the post you quoted, since you forgotted to do that. There are no settings for this one, either it works or it doesn't and I haven't tested it.
:snippity:
As I was just writing about sliced bread, this seems to be a fine thing if it works for attached images (and others).

I know one source of the gaps is embedded things that don't show up, like someone posts a link to an Amazon.com item. The other day there was a Trump coffee mug or something that was quoted a few times, and I never could see it. But if you quote the post WITHOUT HITTING THE BUTTON you can see the link. That may happen with other types of links, depending on the device you're using and godonlyknowswhatelse.

I get it all the time. Any post that links to content that's blocked in China (Twitter, YouTube, NYT, etc) causes a gap.

Please don’t zap the notes! I plan to use the notes feature to park stuff where I can easily find it.

Firefox on an iPhone 8 and my screen jitters all over the place when I first open a topic or make a post. It doesn’t do this on my desktop with IE. Without looking, someone else mentioned this problem too, also.

Yes. The jittery screen. I'm getting used to waiting 60 seconds for the thing to stop jumping around without trying to start reading. Always on devices, sometimes on desktop. Started recently, after the last upgrade or whatever.

Start to read... Oh no! the screen jumped; where was I reading? Scroll up, scroll down, start reading something else... screen jumps... maybe it's done? Read again... oh crap.. no, it jumped away again. Is it done this time?
Surely it's done. Read another post... jumps one last time. Oy.

Moderately irritating. But worse things 'ave 'appened at sea, you know.

I think that's caused by delayed loading of tweets, graphics, Facebook posts, etc. Your portable devices are slower to load those things, and they move the screen up and down as they load.

Solution - pretend that you are Orly at the trial in Atlanta and give directions: Up, up, up, no, too far, down, down, up, up, down, up.

This will work!

That's what I think is happening, too, but mine is a desktop.

Yeah, happens on my desktop, but not my phone. Not really too annoying, though. I like the added interactivity with the twitter machine and Facebook so it really is a feature.
