Is anyone else getting crashes with the latest update of Adobe Flash Player plugin in Firefox? I am getting this message:

No such problems for me.

A friend of mine had problems with the latest Flash in Internet Explorer. Slowed his computer to a crawl. Somehow the upgrade had corrupted the settings, but uninstalling Flash, clearing out everything and reinstalling Flash fixed everything. I don't know if this will help you as I have Firefox and Flash and everything seems fine.

That problem has been occurring for me with the last several releases of Adobe Flash. They purported to fix security holes, so I have kept installing them. I also installed Flashblock. Some pages were trying to run Flash automatically; Flashblock stops that, and I don't get that "crashed" message anymore. I suspect the problem was with what was trying to run more than with Flash itself.

Not here. My version is lower though: 11.2

I have auto update enabled. I read some forums and downloaded the unintaller from Adobe and then reinstalled it. That seemed to fix it. This was a post on an Adobe message board about a similar problem someone was having:

I'm not a Flash fan, not the least because the Apple folks won't bring it on board their products and, for better or worse, I'm a Mac person. I wish someone would come up with a compatible player that doesn't hog so much memory.

I'm getting it with Chrome, too. Quite annoying.

I had oddness as well. Wound up doing a system recovery and subsequently Adobe re-alerted me of the update. No more tribbles.

Amen on McAfee. it is easy to miss that tiny little check box that they default to checked.

It's crashing (well ... indefinitely popup looping) for me in W7 / Firefogs

I put in Flashblock because sites like Huff Post would insist on playing a movie somewhere near the bottom of the page, at a minimum slowing things down.
