Foggy,
PJ continues to add new features making the site both easier to navigate and simpler to post information. Some sites have "feature overkill", but not PJ.
Thanks, Chief Editor. Yeah, for every BBCode I've installed, I've passed on three dozen others.

Still, have you given any thought to changing PJ into more of a NING-type site, where members can have mini-blogs within the PJ site?
No, I hadn't thought of that. Don't you people have any life at all?
In all seriousness, there IS a "mod" that could be added to allow users to have blogs. Sadly, it's a mod for Version 2 of phpBB, and Politijab uses Version 3. I'm not sure it's compatible. And installing it is still beyond my abilities. Everything I've done so far is relatively simple ... extra BBCodes, smilies, and a few file edits ... those I can do without taking a risk of screwing something up.
I have my own (unused) phpBB3 forum, which I use as "the sandbox". Everything I've done on Politijab, I did on my own forum first, to test whether and how it works. And I backed up the entire forum first, in case of some horrible accident. I'm being super-duper-extra careful. I hate when PJ is down as much as anyone here, and I don't want to cry myself to sleep at night on account of I messed something up and can't fix it.
A mod is a different animal. Most of them require some SQL operations on the database, and I don't know anything about SQL except what the initials stand for. I do have a book on it, and when I find some time I'll teach myself more, but until I feel comfortable. I'm not taking any risks.
Maybe by the time I teach myself enough to install a mod, the blog mod will be updated so it's compatible with the latest version of phpBB3. And of course, Justin would have to sign off on it.
