It's nice, but I think it's much too small.

Don't play that "nothing's different" game with me. The peeps in the hijack thread noticed too. Hmph.

Edit: It was like the home page logo.

I see the new one on my iPhone and in your post, Kimba. I see the old one on this here laptop screen.

I got it with IE, but only within the forum pages. Home page is still the old logo.

OK. I went to board preferences and changed from prosilver to serenity purple and saw the new logo. (I also saw it on my iPhone and when I logged out.) Then I went back to prosilver and the new logo is there.

Very nice. Not austere or monochrome like before.

When dealing with matters of style, I always defer judgement to teh gays. :-*

I don't. Teh gays don't got the market on style covered. [-X But in this case, I could go for something less nerd.
A bold green tempo heavy or heavycondensed across the very bottom would work for me. It shouldn't come much higher than the bottom of the current "Fogbow"

F O G B O W -- F O G B O W

I wouldn't mind red either.

F O G B O W -- F O G B O W

White might look good across the brown dirt at the bottom and go with the fogbow color.

YMMV.

If it was bigger it would take space away from something else. I used to have a nice big fat logo, but you couldn't see much of the rest of the page unless you scrolled down. I made a determined effort to show as much as possible without scrolling, and shrunk the logo.

For those who didn't see it immediately, that's because your computer stores images like that in the "cache" and calls them up more quickly. To "force refresh" a web page, in Windows press CTRL + F5. This will make your computer reload the entire page from the server, ignoring what's in the cache.

Instead of carping about fonts and colors and what teh gays would think about the logo, you are all cordially invited to take your best shot at a better logo, and I'll think about it. The logo should be 124 x 50 pixels, and you can use any of the common graphics formats (jpeg, gif, png). Contest!

I was just spicing things up, since we're in a dull period while waiting for Orly to get smacked in Mississippi and Indiana and Aryan to get smacked in Arizona and Tennessee.

The main page logo is a work of art and I'm not changing that. For the record, I had no input into that, not even the opportunity to approve it before it was implemented. But I love it. Hell, I still love the old small logo, but I just decided to try something different for a change.

Subject change, (but not a thread jack)

I’d really like to be able to search a thread or subject by date. (Unless we can already do that and I just don’t know how) But sometimes when looking for something that you know happened, or was posted say around early November last year. You can spend hours clicking through hundreds of pages just trying to find November. It can be very annoying sometimes.

Or is it just me and my lack of understanding the search functions? :-?

I like the top one a LOT, Sugar M.

MsDaisy, the search function is very limited in what it can do. It can't search words of three characters or less, either. You can play around with the various controls, but I can't really improve it. There are no modifications I've found to improve the search engine.
