"I live to serve" seems to be the motto in this place. Nice. :D :D
Uhh ...

... after the Supreme Court decision on Thursday, I knew (mostly) what people here would post, so I hustled over to my local forum to torment the RWNJs there, and spent a lot of Thursday and Friday there, stirring the pot.

Sadly, the guy who hates the healthcare law the most on that forum is the admin. So I'm baned for a month now, and will have some more time for puttering and muttering at Fogbow. :D

Please don't spoil my misconception with facts (sound familiar?)... :-bd :-bd :-bd

Besides - they don't even let me in the door. At least you get to get in at least one post....

You makes me laugh, Foggy! If you could link to your RWNJ forum, I could thank the admin there for giving you back to us (and enjoy your snark there if they didn't delete it)!

Oh, I don't want anybody poking at the admin there. The guy used to be a friend of mine. I've been in his home many times, and he's been in mine, and our wives and kids were just like peas and carrots. It's a tragedy that we can't be friends any more.

But he's just so intensely political. I put politics aside when it comes to people; he simply can't. He's been seriously suffering since Obama took over, and believe me, he hated Bush just as much. He's a Paulista to the max: His bumper sticker says "Ron Paul was right." It got to the point that he just couldn't be friends with a liberal Democrat who supports Obama, the ACA, and our local congresscritter, Brad Miller. OMFG, does he hate Brad Miller, and he knows I've done phone bank and a ton of other work for Brad. But the main reason he hates Brad is, he voted for the ACA.

He hates Obama so much, he tries to be a birther now and then, but it's like our Patricia: he's too smart and honest. He wants to believe ... he had a blorgasm when Sheriff Joe held his presser ... but when I showed him W4's awesome debunk of it, he sobered up again. He'd love it if Obama was ineligible, but at the same time he supports gay marriage. Complex guy. He has a garden. If a deer or other varmint gets too close, motion detectors set off powerful sprinklers. Scare the crap out of the varmints, and water the garden at the same time. He's from N'awlins. Remember the ladies flipping out about how great gator tastes? He cooked me gator like that. I still gots some love for the man, though he pisses me off royally.

I'll give him this much: He IS a freakin' genius, and his warped and stupid political beliefs ARE honestly held. He's been absolutely freaking out since Thursday morning. He's put up a lot of posts with the words "Roberts" and "traitor" in them. If he did Twitter, he'd be on that list of "End of America" twits. He hated the ACA more than anyone I know. He took a bus up to D.C. with a bunch of other people just to protest at the Capitol the day before they passed it, and had an intoxicating experience. 'Course, he has a nice job with a big corporation and has great health insurance for him and his fambly. He just doesn't ever want to pay another nickel of taxes as long as he lives.

He was so sure the Supremes were going to strike down the ACA, and he was expecting a huge surge in the markets as a result. America saved: Who could possibly be unhappy about that? The markets were gonna soar. He actually spent some money, expecting a windfall ...

So he's really, really sensitive right now. ;;) I don't want to be permanently baned there. I yanked his chain, and I'll takes my lumps. ?(

You can read there, though. It's not just RWNJs; I haz a few liberal supporters there. Look for AlleyCat, 7rob7, and Nick Name. I've been on that board since it began. There was a time when it was a great forum, but his libertarian principles wouldn't allow him to moderate and squelch the flame wars; in fact, he's a flamer himself, and the flame wars chased away a lot of decent, good people. I personally brought more than 75 people to that forum; I just about singlehandedly populated the place, by keeping together a group that met on a now defunct newspaper forum. Sadly, there aren't even 30 people left, total, who use the board on a regular basis. I spent about a thousand bucks to promote the board, in donations to him and advertising efforts of my own. But I couldn't get him to moderate the board, and all my efforts came to naught. So I was pissed at his lack of moderation, and he was pissed that I voted for several Great Satans, and the friendship fell apart.

Such is life.

Well, the markets did soar.......the next day....and not because of the ACA being upheld. If he was in a funk and sold on Thursday, he would have missed the nice rally on Friday. Then, he'd be really, really sore.

Just a followup:

I tried to implement the solution I found on the support site to do this, but it was not feasible. They told me to look for a snippet of code that isn't in the file. I posted a request for assistance. I'll follow up in a day or so.

It would be a nice 'elegant' solution. -xx

Yes, and now I know it can be done. But it's tricky, and I need more assistance from the guys working on the MOD. Won't take forever, and until then, announcements will be scarce as hen's rooster's teeth.

Made some additional improvements to the Artodia Elegance Black style.

Still can't figure out how to put the links to our blogs and other resources at the bottom. Tried 439 different ways of writing the code; all of them look like a big mess. Bumped my thread asking for assistance.

Careful how you identify yourself there. There's a half-dozen RWNJs who are also professional-grade liars and inbred trolls who are incapable of decent or even coherent conversation. They're incapable of forming opinions on their own and use the personal attack as a common form of communication. Typical ditto heads without the manners.

You've met two of them here.

ISSUE using highlighted text (yellow) with white print when using the 2 black schemes.

Set your browser to one of the blacks and try to read this The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy brown dog.

Can't be helped unless I dictate highlight colors, which I won't.

What you can do is select the highlighted text with your mouse.

Huh? In which style? You mean the composition box? In Elegance Black it's light gray on almost black, and in CA Black it's white on black.

After trying a couple, it seems that this highlight is visible in all styles. The hex no. is #ff8040.

Using CA Black. When a post it edited...and I read the edit - it is like white on white or gray on white.

Edit: It is just when you read this in CA Black.

Selecting the text will make it go blue as a work around.

Thanks, Foogie! :xo

Didn't say pretty. All I said was 'visible'. Any darker, it messes up the other styles. It's a pickle.

The real problem, IMHO, is that grey text on the black background. And I don't know if you see, the tricky designer has a shadow on the text, which adds to blurriness.

I'm gonna change that grey to purest white. No shadow. Just gotta find the CSS in the files.
