Thank you for the kind words. It was really a big help for me to read yours (as well as all the other comments of support). It helped just being able to talk about my cat. It really was a shock that she died at such an early age. I really expected that she would be with me a long, long time. I am glad that I make it a point to tell (and show) my cats each and every day that I love them. I know they don't understand but they add so much joy to my life that I feel better letting them know.

I guess this would be a good time to tell all the folks here at Fogbow that I am so glad each and everyone of you is here. Like my cats, you all have added joy and laughter to my life as well as a lot of food for thought. I consider Fogbow as one of the things I'm grateful for as well as Foggy for setting it up and keeping it running smoothly. The only good thing about losing a loved one is that it makes you step back and look at your life a bit and appreciate the good things.

I am so sorry. I experienced the same, losing a guy who was only 5. He had been fine one day, then had some unexplainable seizure before my very eyes that could never be explained by the vet. Very hard if you love our kitties, and it seemed we are loaded with cat lovers here. Hopefully, the memories will remain!

It's a labor of love, believe me. I feel privileged just to be part of the boogle, and I feel privileged to be able to do something to contribute to the community. We really do have something special here, and it's going to be an exciting year to say the least.

It's terrible to lose a kitteh early in its life. I grieve for all the pet owners here who have lost friends. It seems like there have been an awful lot of lost kitteh and goggie friends over the few years we've been together. I still grieve for my little buddy Rocky. But there are kittehs who need rescuing. We can't get a second kitteh in our house without giving a full set of inoculations to Molly-Polly, but she damn near died the last time we did that, when we moved here from SoCal. No shelter will let us have a kitteh without certification (long-form) from a vet that Molly-Polly has all her shots up to date, which she never will. She hasn't been sick a day since we moved here 10 years ago. When she goes, we'll get a couple of nice shelter kittehs (and maybe I'll push for a puppy, too).

Oh, that is too, too funny. My cats are about the only ones who hate the vacuum cleaner worse than I do.

In my house if you want to see a cat travel at warp speed even out of a deep, deep sleep, throw the on-switch on the vacuum. And where they disappear to is always a mystery.

My kitteh is terrified of the canister vacuum and even a little portable upright. She will flee and hide under my bed or behind furniture.

She doesn't exactly like the Roomba, but she will stay in the same room it is working and even run past it. Good thing, as the Roomba cleans under the bed and would come after her.

When my cat was a kitty, we had the upright vacuum cleaner sitting on the tile floor in the kitchen. The cat was rubbing up against the vacuum, head-butting it, purr, purr...then The Wife turned the vacuum on.

The cat did one of those cartoon-like running in place but never going anywhere (because her claws could not dig into the tiled floor). =)) The cat's fear of vacuums began on that day.

We were so disappointed we didn't think of filming it first.

My kitteh is not askeered of the vacuum cleaner. When I get it out to clean he follows me to whatever room I'm going to begin cleaning, then lays quietly in front of it until I turn it on. He then seems to treat it like prey he's toying with and will sometimes "capture" it then let it go again.

This will go on for about half the time I'm cleaning in any given room, then he will move away and sit and watch until I'm done. Then when I move to another room the process begins anew.

Strange kitteh. :P

Well, you know, that thing they use in the celestial parts of the universe to keep the vacuum clean of all the orbiting satellites, meteorites and other stuff that contaminates the buildup of new stars. Helps also for a smooth solar wind pass by Earth :-$ #-o 8>

Long ago and not so far away, I learned I was not a salesman. But I learned to call the so-called "vacuum cleaner" a vacuum dirtier. Rainbow. ;)

Long ago, I learned to call a vacuum cleaner by it's very descriptive German name: staubsauger (lit. trans.= dust sucker)

One of my cats has learned to start the Roomba. Unfortunately, he does not empty the bin or clean the brushes. Is an upgrade available (for the cat)?
