Ebola epidemic spreads from Guinea

I really do not understand people in this Country. 60 people a day are killed by guns, and yet no one is calling it an "epidemic" one person dies of Ebola and the entire country goes into a meltdown of hair on fire. If you listen to Sean Hannity the entire country will be infected within five minute...

Voter Rights - Voter Suppression - War on Voting

I am good, been busy, Mum just left after a month's visit, thanks to her financing got my completely broken house fixed, I now have a working dryer for the first time in 23 years! Whoot! The great news about equality and voting rights has got me back off my butt and active again.

Also too, Judge Posner's dissent in the Wisconsin voter ID law is a thing of beauty http://bradblog.com/Docs/JudgePosnerDissent_PhotoID_WI_101014.pdf My favorite quote Some of the“evidence” of voter impersonation fraud is downright goofy, if not paranoid, such as the nonexistent buses that according ...

The new Doctor Who

I loved episode one, with the Doctor rediscovering himself before our eyes. "I'm Scottish! I'm really Scottish! Great! That means I can complain". As for the plot of episode one I thought it was a bit meh, and as others have commented very similar to "Blink" (one of the all time best episodes IMHO)....

 Checking in, lost internet and stuff for a while. We had some pretty large limbs down in the back yard but other than that no damage. Nick and his trusty chain saw will take care of the limbs tomorrow so the way I look at it its just some free fire wood!

Bowe Bergdahl - May Be/Could Possibly Be Charged With Desertion (was BB)

I hope they're providing security for him and the family. I'm guessing that's true, as there have been death threats.Because POWs or any Vets are just useful so long as the GOP can use them as a cudgel to attack POTUS. As I have always said, fetuses are precious until they exit the womb at which poi...

Bowe Bergdahl - May Be/Could Possibly Be Charged With Desertion (was BB)

The Army promoted the guy twice while he was in captivity, they clearly did not view him as being AWOL, (I have never heard of a deserter being promoted in absentia) they clearly viewed him as a POW (apparently it was standard practice to promote POWs in the Vietnam era). I have been listening to Se...

I am also a Rugby fan, I woke up at 3am years ago (edit 2003) to watch the world cup finals with England beating the Aussies. Follow up to my earlier post. The Sheriff truly got trounced, 60 odd percent for his challenger. He has 200 days left in office. From Hero to Zero in 12 short years

I am always amazed on the anniversary of 9/11 how we some how go back to the good old days of firefighters and cops being the heroes, while today they are they are the benefit sucking, union organizing, scum of the earth that are destroying cities, and communities all over the nation. Apparently the...
