Re: No Catz but Kate's OK

Soooo.... a friend’s cat had an unexpected litter of 4 kittens. We get first choice. I have tentatively reserved a calico of very uncertain male parentage. Our new condo permits only 2 animals. We think we are dog people, as we had the Fabulous Miss Ellie, but maybe we are cat people. Or maybe 1 cat...

Re: Migrant Children to be Housed on Military Bases

Gee — a growing opioid crisis, beds at 91% capacity, social services and non-deployment resource cuts, and now thousands of non-English-speaking children separated from their parents and put into military bases. What could go wrong? I don’t think this administration has correctly identified who the ...

Wow. Thanks Addie, I clicked through and read the whole article. And Wow.

When did we enter Bizarro World? Clearly there’s a serious glitch in the Matrix.

Kendra, what is the volcano (volcanoes) in that video of how to build an island?
The video at comment #24? That's Kiluea (sp?). I think it's older video of the lava entering the ocean, which I believe has stopped now that it is flowing east.
That was some hot lava porn indeed.

So W2 and I ubered over to the Maine DMV to apply for Maine IDs. (We don’t drive.) W2 had been worrying about this all last week, of course. He downloaded the forms, carefully checked what identification he needed, and made 2 envelopes with our documents. So off we went. Only to discover... he had f...

Re: The Lone Star Tick (Bugs)

At least one of the Boogle has had a close personal relationship with a Lone Star Tick. As have several of my off-group friends. That Alpha gal thing is awful.

I’m planning a party at the new digs. No gluten, no tree nuts, no mammal meat. I’m thinking of giving people each $20 to go feed themselves.

W2 woke up from a deep sleep last night and ask frantically if we had any diatomaceous earth. “We have all we need,” I mumbled. “Ok, good.” Back to sleep.

We live in a condo. In a city. On the ocean.
Did W2 hint what the DE would be used for?
It was the answer to some magical quest thing.

What is "middle aged" these days?
I turned 65 in December and I'll probably be 80 before I stop thinking of myself as middle aged. Maybe.
Next time we move, I’m paying for the packing service. I’m too old for the amount of stuff I’ve accumulated.
