Re: American Peoples Convoy Protest
Uh oh... Since the speedway did not kick them out earlier this week, I wonder if their increasingly erratic behavior has caused them to wear out their welcome. I have always wondered how they thought they would do the Canada-style protest. In Ottawa, you can block off the parliament and related bui...

Re: Fire!
Late this morning, high winds and low relative humidity (2%) led to a wild land fire about a mile from our house in a wetland area that is mostly dry due to drought. That wetland area, the Sand Creek valley, continues north until it is just a few blocks from our house. Fortunately, the CSFD was able...

Re: Dogs!
Wouldn't surprise me a bit based on the number of people with pits who post photos of their toddlers smacking and jumping on them. I swear I wish social media would ban all posts of small children getting up close and personal with dogs. Years ago, I took my big Thoroughbred Hap to State Fair. He w...

Re: Prominent People with Covid-19
We were headed to Denver for family game day on Sunday. We were about to get on the freeway when my sister-in-law called us to tell us that her partner (vaxxed and boosted) had just tested positive. He had received his second booster on Thursday and they thought he was feeling bad because of the boo...

I think this may be a weird caching problem on my end. Incognito works just fine, so I will use that for now.

Re: Foggy's Progress - a record of improvements to the forum
I'm using prosilver and tweets are loading, check V's Fire thread. Are they coming up for you now, Five Acres? It did when I logged into FB via an incognita window. Still having problems with my usual setup. I run a pretty unique configuration since I am on an Ubuntu Linux box. Usually everything w...

Re: Foggy's Progress - a record of improvements to the forum
OK, let me look at that. You mean since the upgrade two weeks ago, not the board style updates I did this morning, right Five Acres? No. This morning. I would have whined earlier if I had a problem earlier. I am good like that. I am using prosilver and logged into my twitter account in th...

Since the upgrade, I am unable to see any of the tweet. They just show perpetual loading.

Re: Corona Virus vaccination status poll
Monday afternoon I got my 2nd booster: Moderna after three Pfizer doses. Tuesday morning I got up, decided I felt pretty good aside from a sore arm, and did my cardio. I ate breakfast, and a few minutes later the flu-like symptoms hit: fatigue, feeling feverish, and all over aches. I also lost my ap...

Re: Corona Virus vaccination status poll
I am scheduled to get mine on Monday afternoon. After three rounds of Pfizer, I am hoping to get Moderna this time. I haven't had much of a reaction so far, so I hope to be fully recovered by dog agility class on Wednesday.

https://twitter.com/AllHazardsTFS/status/1507862423616860163?t=aysg1Ocvs98AORFF8C5Ocw&s=19 I remember during one of our local horrific fires, I think Waldo Canyon, the federal fire manager talked about the fire testing the containment lines, and I was thinking, "Whoa! That is some pathetic...

Expired certificate warning here as well. I switched to Firefox on my setup which at least doesn't warn at every single page the way Chrome does.

Re: trump (the former guy)
We used to live due north of the Air Force Academy, which meant that we were directly under the air show for graduation and home coming. One time, I looked up from where I was standing on our deck and saw this huge black thing above our house that was making no noise. A few minutes of googling and I...

Re: American Peoples Convoy Protest
In 1990, partner and I left the Washington DC suburbs and moved west. Hell, we can remember when the Metro system was new! Downtown parking was horrendous then, and I can't believe it's improved over the years. In December 2021, we attended a science fiction convention near downtown DC. Because we r...

You gotta watch that wintry mix. This seems to be the same storm that may drop around six inches here. Of course, in Colorado, we are supposed to be used to it.
