Re: Alex Jones

In the last 24 hours Alex Jones has come up with the claim that he never denied that children were killed, and he always acknowledged to the parents that they had lost children. And this morning MSNBC and HLN cable news shows came up with old videos of his broadcasts in which he publicly claimed, ov...

Re: Investigations in New York State of Trump and Related

It would appear that it is unnecessary for actual state legislation to enable state prosecutors to bypass Presidential pardons. The President can only pardon for violations of federal law, not state law. So even after a pardon from the President for any federal laws violated, the state prosecutor ca...

Re: ACA Sabotage/Trumpcare ....

One of the peculiarities of the ACA - and other health care planning - is that, while the govt was willing to step on the toes of health insurance companies, with such things as eliminating the exclusion for pre-existing conditions, the govt is unwilling to take effective action on either Big Pharma...

Re: Who's going to be the NEXT one under the bus?

How long will Rudy Guiliani last? Here we have a high profile former prosecutor .... yes, he knows Criminal Procedure. But he also married his first cousin, evidently (according to him) without realizing it even though his wedding invitation list and her wedding invitation list had an 85% overlap. H...

Re: Opioid abuse among Vets

Opioid abuse is a really tough addiction to undo, but it high incidence among combat vets indicates that the Army (and other branches) are discharging them as if they were healthy when they clearly are not. Over the decades the Army and the VA have become notorious for avoiding their responsibilitie...

Re: Unnamed American Enemy Combatant (ISIS) in Iraq

Taking a POW of one country and deliberately shipping him in capitivity to a different country that is expected to mistreat him is "rendition". This is forbidden under the Geneva Conventions. It's a war crime. This ISIS participant is an American citizen. He should be brought back to America. I feel...

It would appear that, like Ed Brown, Leroy Schweitzer, Rick McLaren, and several other loonies, whoever is loudmouth for Oathkeepers 101 actually imagines that he commands an invisible army that will suddenly materialize at his command to overthrow the government for him and make him generalissimo.

Re: VA Medicinal Cannabis Research Act of 2018

The VA, or any other medical enterprise, can experiment all it wants with MJ.

BUT that does not require keeping MJ from anyone else in the meantime.

Re: VA Medicinal Cannabis Research Act of 2018

The pain-relieving efficacy of MJ is well documented, especially from jurisdictions where it is legal and where good quality MJ is available. This talk about spinning the wheels for 5 years before any further legalization is just a prohibitionist stunt.

Re: Abuse of the Pardon Prevention Act - 2018

Back in 1790, in the Virginia state convention to ratify the proposed US Constitution, there was a prolonged discussion of "What if the President entered into a criminal conspiracy of some sort, and then used his Executive power to pardon his co-conspirators?" And several distinguished members, incl...

When I was young, and dinosaurs still walked the earth, it was explained to me how the so-called "teachers' union" had so little clout. The Teamsters, then a very intimidating union, had set up a teachers' union subdivision within the Teamsters but almost no school system's teachers joined. The reas...

The embarrassment is only partly on Hannity - as if he ever felt any shame. The majority on Fox News for keeping him on the air. MSNBC yanked a commentator just for publicly donating money to the Democratic Party. NBC yanked Brian Williams just for saying he saw (unimportant) things that had only be...

The passenger killed was a Wells Fargo executive.

How long before the Wells Fargo board of directors blame Everything on her?

How long before someone comes up with a theory that this crash wasn't an accident?

In the meantime, NYC govt just removed from Central Park the statute of Dr. James Marion Sims (1813-1883), "The Father of Gynecology", because of revelations that, in the 1840s, he perfected a lifesaving operation by experimenting on slave women he had purchased for that purpose. http://time.com/524...

Not so funny a thing: The Daily Stormer has posted multiple reports that Starbuck is having this nationwide training class to teach its staff how to keep Afro-Americans off Starbucks' property; that the whole purpose of the class is to assure that only white people can enter Starbucks.

Rachel Maddow came up with the story that Trump sent Putin a message that Nikki Haley's announcement of serious sanctions against Russia could be ignored. So now only did Trump dial back the sanctions, he made a point of assuring Putin about the backing off. I would think that, by now, the favor of ...

I am surprised that Michael Cohen has not yet met with a 'misadventure'. The simple fact, as regards The Don, is that Cohen knows too much.
Perhaps we will hear that Cohen has succumbed to some sort of nerve poison seldom seen in the US.

Sean Hannity now claims that he was not a client of Michael Cohen. But before the court hearing, Hannity was on the phone with Cohen's lawyer, begging and pleading that his name be kept secret. So before the court hearing Hannity considered himself a client of Cohen. Tell us, Sean, what was her name??
